How do I change just one color in GIMP without using a paintbrush. For example, changing the yellow of the ep2 pilot to green.
thanks

Re: colors in GIMP
Go to the colors tab then hue saturation.

Re: Colors in GIMP
But, it would also be easier, (unless you want to color the whole clone a different color) to select the yellow part of the clone before using the hue options.

Re: GIMP questions
Ok, thanks.
Also, another question, in GIMP, I noticed that certain units, eg the bly, shown below, have color that does not obscure the lines and markings on the unit. how do I do this? Whe I paint down the middle of the chest plates with a paint brush, it looks like this, also shown below.

Re: GIMP questions
I believe it has something to do with brush opacity, but I don't use GIMP, so im not sure.

Re: GIMP questions
Yeah, I just found it anyways, thanks, though. BTW- it is the burn option.
One more question. In the Color saturation, I got it to a green that I like, but how do I get that same color in the paintbrush?
thanks

Re: GIMP questions
Use the eyedroper tool, or just hold ctrl and click on the color you want. As for the burn option, never heard of it before. I just change the opacity. Maybe I'll check that out.

Re: GIMP questions
Burn option? I don't use GIMP hardly at all, but mind telling me where/what that is?

Re: GIMP questions
to make realistic looking markings, select the part you want to paint (with path or retangle selection or whatever)
then select the color and the fill the part with the color in the multiply mode or the color mode (figure around with these two and the opacity, which is better depends on how strong you want the color)
if you just paint with opacity down itwont keep the details n the skin

Re: GIMP questions
Ok, thanks.
the burn thing isn't really a tool, it is a mode under paintbrush, you can choose from several different modes.

Re: GIMP questions
I figured i might as well stick this in here too, instead of making a new topic, I found a program called GIMPshop, and it takes GIMP and gives it a photoshop look/feel, makes it a lot easier to use for photoshop users like me.
