Is it possible to rename profiles or do you have to start a new one?

You have to start a new one, sorry. (well, you could try to hex-edit your old profile, but I don't know too much about that, I only know that Zerted had looked into it)

IIRC, I think if you hex-edit it, the name does change, but the game will still say "[old profile name] killed [AI character]".

Yes, Ping is right. You can only change the name on the selection screen, but not when you play on a map.

But why? Why can't this be changed?

I just tried it and always it says that loading failed.


btw, to change the name that is shown on the profile selection screen just change the name of the file. But of course after the selection screen it doesn't work anymore. For that the name in the first lines of the file have to be changed but that doesn't work.
