Awesome model, Forcemaster. If you're going to do the TCW version, remember that there's a little point in the back of the super battle droid.
RED51 wrote:That's pretty cool! Hey, you should try to cel-shade it, like these models. Just my though though.
It seems that the way they did it, was by duplicating the model over the original, flipping the copy its normals and texturing it plain black, which seems like it would take a hefty toll on the engine.

Psuedo cel-shade layers can be lower res though. If your textured mesh is 3000 polys you could probably get away with half that in the cel-shade layer. And if a low-resolution model is made along with the standard model that would also increase FPS to non-noticeable standards.

If you lower the polycount on the cel shade layer, youll get the same thickness everywhere. On some places with small detail you can get away with textured lines and delete the detail polies.

Edit: Do the SWBF lowpoly chars use other sceletons, and if, do we have one or would it be possible to recreate one?

Yes, their skeletons have "lz" on the end of them. For example - ewok.zafbin and ewoklz.zafbin.

looks great, if you now make the thighs thinner, make the upperbody a bit bigger and add some huge lasers, it would be a b2 super-super batldroid :D

Fix the Torso UVs, you have a seam running along the side. I'd also use a higher saturation on the texture, i.e. the blue color, it feels too washed out and flat. The model itself looks good, the texture just needs some love.

Ok, here's a small addon msh.
It's to make the stormy appear as he did in EAW:FOC (probably regular EAW also, but idk)
