dont want to be rude alpha29 but i dont think you must ask that cause xwingguy said that he doesnt want to call a release date even for a beta. i think? as for this LITTLE (read the word) flame war: dont be to aggresive. id rather look at the progress of this map and sliming for screenies. dont be flaming its to hot and this topic doesnt have an airco. (for so far my humor) well guys to put it this way: dont be flaming, be friendly, minilogoguy dont be to critic on this map. i know that critics are sometimes needed but not so hard. Just wait for the godly moment when xwingguy puts in a link to a download url(NOT RAPIDSHARE HATE THAT SITE) so we can enjoy this map and play it with our friends online so we dont have an empty feeling in the BEAUTY'S of hallways xwingguy has created. ok now im gone to look how you guys put up with eachother and ill be seeing you (OR IS THAT POSTING) ok now im really gonna say goodbye. The point is people mod because it's fun... maybe everyone's forgotten that! It doesn't matter when a hall way is angled wrong by 5 degrees or 100, or even when a map will be released, the point is, that it is fun to make them!!!!minilogoguy18 wrote:im not being rude, just adding REAL constructive crticism, you know pointing out whats wrong so that it can be fixed, you guys should try it sometime.
Even you have to admit you went a little bit beyond constructive crticism.

Well, to prevent such a thing from happening, the cap ship shield could be so powerful that it would take less time destroying it from the inside than the outside. If the player chooses to take the way that would take less time, they would find themselves inside the ship already, and if the SG is far enough away from the hangar, with the other critical systems in between, the fastest and easiest way to actually destroy the systems would be to destroy them from the inside. Another way to solve this is to just make the outside systems much healthier (lol).YT-1300 wrote:your statement made me realize why pandemic/lucasarts cut out and did not do more extensive interiors of the cap ships. they realized that people will want to jump into a starfighter and blow stuff up, not sneek around numerous halls of a cap ship when in a "space" battle. so maybe having extensive interiors will just be for show cause i bet people would rather zip round in an a-wing then walk around aimlessly through countless halls in the cap ship. there was just no use for the interiors to be big. thats why pandemic left them out. (IMO) i hate to say this and dont bash me or anything but all of x-wing's work on the interiors could quickly go to waste, cause people will want to fly not walk around empty halls (except for droids) i not saying this map is bad or anything or that the interiors are spectacular, just that theres really no use for them.

There is a Nebulon B Frigate.
There will be the Executor whenever OOM-9 gets around to finishing it.
The wierd hallway alignment is by no means as bad as it looks from above. In fact, I've found that with a little manipulation of object placement, I can make hallways curve slightly but look perfect.
The only thing I'm truly worried about is lag. I've had it drop from 19 fps (what my computer normally has on most maps) to 9 fps. I am working on portals and sectors right now so I'm about to find out how much I can increase the fps.

Not that tall. Once you're finished, creating smaller versions is easy, because deleting isn't that complicated.
For example, he could reduce the map to an ordinary space map without all the interiors and rooms, just with standard internal crit's.Cockpits can be taken out very fast, default version of fighters may be added in no time... and so on.
