How do I make the windows transparent on Vista Ultimate? 0.o

Otherwise, this morning I was pretty impressed till I bypassed the activation leading to Blue screens of death. Thank the lord though for safe mode... Now less then an hour till my dad gets home with a ps2 keyboard so I can delete that freak file royal.sys :P

Hey sorry about the bump, but i have a question. I got a new computer with Vista Home Premuim and i want to upgrade it to Ultimate because i've had for awhile on my old computer. My plan is to disconnect the old one with Vista Ultimate on it from the internet permenatly. and then upgrade Home Premium. Do you think M$ would like freak out and not allow my Ultimate work fully? I tried to get their email tech support but it's sooooooooooooo freakin hard. I type in my Product ID character for character and it still won't let me use my 90 warrenty.

Bottomline: Will M$ freak if i install Ultimate again on a new computer.

There are legal ways to extend Window's evaluation period for months (I think over a year). There where a bunch of stories about it when Vista first came out. I don't know if any of the Window updates disable the extensions. Search around and you should find them.

I don't think you will have any major problems using Ultimate on your new machine, but useing it on two machines at one time is against its EULA.

If you don't mind, what do you plan on using your old one for?

Sorry for the "mini-bump" but for all you who have Windows Vista but still like to use XP for gaming you can get a program called Microsoft Virtual PC. It'll allow you to open up a "virtual computer" on your OS so you can open up XP in Vista or vice versa. So you don't have to reboot your computer and switch the OS at startup. It's also perfect for getting to play classics which are only supportyed by older OS's like Windows '95, '98, ME, and NT. You can get it free online!

EDIT: You can even open up Linux on it. :P

Well, you could do that, but running a graphics-intensive game inside a virtual machine is not a good idea.

True, especially if you have a fairly low-end computer, but in general terms I was referring to classics like Virtual Pool and MechWarriors (well at least semi-classics) which don't run on XP or Vista unless you have on of the newest versions. I haven't, and may not get Windows Vista any time soon because the kinks still need to be worked out in many areas. I just wanted to put out a general solution for those of you who have games made for XP which have compatibility issues on Vista.
