Server Map list on Gametoast?

This might increase online map use. People have said that some servers are unjoinable because the contain several mod maps, and its unknown which ones are needed to play. So maybe gametoast should have sub section with lists of maps played on servers. People could submit there map names and the list of maps on the server.

I made a site of my own, swbfmaplist.netfims.com, but people are much more likely to see your list on game toast. Plus 'list on gametaost.com'
takes less room in the server name than my url alone.

Comments/questions/usage of idea are all welcome.

there is not an easy list since there are over 70 maps out, but I think all of the fodler names and maps are listed in the usermade maps topic that rends has. I for one wil be happy when i have a linux binary available so we can host all of the 50 mod maps on the server lol.

????????????????? I mean people could submit lists of whats playing on there servers, so that people can tell what they need to download, since some people don't bother downlaoding them all.

You know when your using the server browser and there is a server currently running a mod map you have, but you try to join and it says you do not have the map currently being played. But it really means you don't have one of the next maps to be played. Unfortuantely battlefront only shows the current map, not the maps the server will be playing next.

Understand?

Of coure if battlefront had a system where the required map could be downlaoded and installed with the click of a 'yes' . . .

Is there a list of maps being played on SWBF003? Or they all shipped still?

There was a poll for which maps to place on it.(Despite the unrealism of hordes of indentical bounty hunters...) The forum post said not to vote for it, it was to full of errors. For TIbana Gas Depot, this is still true, it crashes at the end of every round it seems.

Please put it on. I ahve created a working mapinfo.txt for bh2 and it never crashes now. Also, the online grappling hook error is non existent. This may be a gift in patch 1.3 from pandemic to Rends, so you may have to wait for non-beta 1.3. In fact, i'm going to test that buy play bf in lan mod right now!

I think this is a good idea for those with regular servers.
Though exact folder names don't matter, only the .lua because I have all my folders renamed but can still play online.

My idea is simply to have a list with names and links. Like Abridon:City
The site I made for my server
I put the url in the server name in the hopes people would put 2&2 together.
Gametoast could simply have a hyperlink on the homepage, with the text
"Now playing on our server" or similar.

And yes my name is from XWA. I made it when I registered the game at lucasarts, and lack creativity to change it.
