I like the new troopers and the KotOR music. I was wondering if there is more healing stations rather than the 3 in the tower. I was also wondering if the 2nd beta was out because I haven't got a PM yet (Sorry if i'm trying to Rush you, but I really like this map.

New beta's not out just yet, but will be by the end of today. I'm just doing some last-minute balance tweaks. There are 5 kolto tanks total in the level, the three you see there and two more in another ruin. And that music's just for the trailers, not ingame. But I like it too. ;)

Are you gonna make some new lightsaber models for this map?

Like dooku style, or maybe something else.

That would be cool.

That's the most Ironic thing thing to say in a WIP topic.

next betas out!

my speedy review:

-finally, localization!

-the 'plague' is actuallly meant to be named 'force plague'

-you still should remove the splash effect when you land on the lava.(or make it red)

-nice kolto tanks, but no offence to Caleb, why is the stand for the console near the kolto tank so short?

-the fire is fixed

-nice touch with replacing "OVERHEATED" with "FORCE EXHAUSTED" :D

all in all nice map, although i have no comment on difficulty yet, sry.

@ Phyzzle: Yep, it's a real place. I try and fit my stories in as though they could have happened.

@ l.c.: Actually, "Plague" was just called "Plague." Not "Force Plague." I'll fix the splash on ze feet; I think you mentioned that, but I just forgot. And "FORCE EXHAUSTED" was actually there in the last one, you just didn't see it cause my localization was only for U.S. English.

---

Also, I think I'm going to throw in an infantry assault as a bonus mode. It won't be nearly as good as the Jedi assault (since the map was designed for that), but it just seems weird having the option for a CW assault and a GCW assault but only having one assault map.

Review!

It's localized now, so don't worry about that. The gameplay is the same, it's still some competition for the Jedi's, but the difficulty of the Jedi fighting the Sith is now normal. The AI is smart. Image
This guy tried to retreat, but no luck!

The main problem is that the Sith are getting all the unit counts 'cuz of the nearby Republic Soldier spawn point. I was at 115 - 126 when I was using the Sith, I ran to the RS spawn points and got 134 - 132 in under 10 minutes.

The Kolto tank works wonders, the panel looks very cool too. You see it here:
Image
But sometimes when I mis-footed or slip when I was going to get in, the tank closes and I have to get another one. Just thought you might wanna know.

Oh and by the way, the rock arc's lower part still covers over the lightsaber. Other than that, all is very nice.

The AI get stuck on these rocks a lot.

The Kolto tanks are very cool. However, I don't much like the way the panel flashes.

I think you should do something to stop the AI from using Force Kill so much.

I think that's it. Gameplay was balanced, I was able to win as both sides.

None taken, all it needs is the msh.option scaled up a bit

Aahh, this map is so fun! Aside from the occasional pathing glitches, I didn't spot any bugs. Well, not bugs that you can fix, anyway. The computer characters are really clever! I enjoyed fighting them oh so much. I'm still having difficulty winning as the Jedi, but I still prefer playing as them anyway , because Force Speed rules! The only suggestion I can think of now would be to add some KotOR music, but I get the feeling that's not allowed, so nevermind eh? I can always turn the music off and play KotOR music in the background :P.

Anyway, an infantry assault mode sounds awesome. I hope you get round to including that.

I really can't think of anything else to say; this map is totally ready for release in my opinion. Besides, the sooner you finish this map the sooner we get to see a new one, right? :P

Good job on this map, and thanks for letting us beta test!

Ah, and one more thing which I just remembered; thanks for making a map which doesn't lag like crazy even with all my settings up high. The map looks great with shadows on and full lighting.

Does that mean theres going to be a 3rd beta testing? Anyway I only just downloaded it so i'm going to go test it out.
I think your pretty much done, the others covered everything (Did someone say the fire doesn't take damage off because I didn't see that).
I think after you take the others advice you'll be ready for realease. I would just like to say this was an honour to beta test this map as it was my first, So thank you and I would be honoured to beta test another one.

Thanks,
~Epm

PS: I can't find the tanks so i'll keep searching and keep you updated.

The infantry assault'll be KOTOR infantry assault, but believe me, it won't be anything too special. It's two completely even sides, the only real difference being which character model you prefer. ;) It's a bonus mode in the truest sense; the real fun is in Jedi assault.

And no, there won't be another beta to test it out. I've already pretty much finished the infantry assault anyway.

Well. I would post a huge review, but it looks like Rekubot basically took the cake and said what I was going to say, Mav. And the reason I didn't post my first review here at the start is because I pm'd you. So does PM'ing you work too? Anyways, other than minor pathing glitches, the map goes on without really any flaw at all. The Kolto tanks are awesome. I love when I push 'e' and open them and close them to get in and out. Pretty neat.

And I loved when I came in from behind and sabered a Sith Trooper in the arse.

But, continuing on, as I said, not much to review considering Rekubot said everything I saw and there's not really a point repeating it right? So, there's uhh...a mini-review? However you want to put it.

-Sort've made the KOTOR panels a little taller. Rescaling would've looked goofy.

-Tweaked the pathing a touch - the only way AI should get caught is if they try to head towards an attacker.

-Finished Infantry Assault.

-KOTOR music is a no-go; that's not allowed under GT policy.

-Updated loadscreen with a newer image.

-Removed "splashing" effects when you walk in the lava.

-Released! Check out the "Released Maps & Mods" forum.
