Transparency probs [Solved]

i tried to hex edit for transperancy but parts are black

no but if its black then it would apear like that also.

Edit: I figured it out instead of 04 00 00 00 04 00 00
i put 04 00 00 00 08 and it worked sorry for posting this with out checking the whole faq thing comepletely :cry:

You need add an alpha chanel to your skin and make transparent the parts of your texture that use these model chunks. In Msh Viewer can not view transparent parts.

The difference between the two (for what you're doing) is mostly irrelevant. "04" is single-sided transparency and "08" is double-sided transparency. When munged and ingame, I doubt you'd see a difference - if there was one, it was because some other factor was changed (or the fresh munge simply did it).

Did you actually munge it, or are you just basing your "error" off of a third-party tool? It's not an error or a problem unless it doesn't work in-game.

I mean the alpha chanel (transparency) in your .tga file (skin).
