Assassin's Creed PC Demo?
I've heard a lot about Assassin's Creed, and I thought I saw something about a demo somewhere, but when I go back to search for it, I'm not finding anything.
I'm sure that someone will answer in fifteen minutes with "Did you even search? Link"
, but thanks anyway.

I would make sure you have a very good machine, though. Even with my 4 GB of RAM it lags on the Lowest settings.

Re: Assassin's Creed PC Demo?
One thing I've found is that your graphics card plays the biggest part in being able to play any given game. My current rig is using a 2.0 ghz pentium dual core, with 2 gig of ram, but my graphics card is an 8800GTS with 640 mb of ram, and I'll get 40 fps on very high in crysis.Fingerfood wrote:I would make sure you have a very good machine, though. While that's true, I would suggest upgrading your processor due to Assassin's Creed's minimum processor requirement of a:tsurugi13 wrote:One thing I've found is that your graphics card plays the biggest part in being able to play any given game. You've got a 2.0 GHz Intel Pentium D I would assume, and a 2.6 GHz is the bare minimum, so you might as well go out and buy a decent processor such as a Core 2 Duo.Dual core processor 2.6 GHz Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ or better recommended)
But also, IMO, Assassin's Creed is the best game I've ever played, it is drop-dead slack-jawed a-mazing.

Re: Assassin's Creed PC Demo?
Well, thanks anyway, but I don't think I'm going to buy it. My computer is far less than extraordinary (it can't run SW:BF2 with everything at the highest settings without a dramatic drop in FPS
). But thanks for the info.

If you want to do all the time the same thing it is the right game for you.
Good graphics, good atmosphere (espescially in Acre), interesting story BUT awful gameplay. Its nice in first 10 minutes, but then you get terribly bored. Very little interaction with other people. Stealth system is not that good too, why should I hide myself if I can cut them all down anyway? Im disappointed. VERY!

@Blade:
You really should upgrade sometimes youre Pc. To reach the Requirements with a good Dual Core and a min of a 8800 GTS arent very expensive today.2GB DDR1 RAM is 100% enough. You also could buy the Parts that you need, Used @ Ebay or so.
besides of thats,Assassins Creed is although available on 360 and PS3.If you have a Console.
@ negah.
You should have had knowed that i need to answere your post xD^^
if you want to do all the time the same thing it is the right game for you.
You really played it?
I actually have beaten AC 2,5 Times and i do these Missions without any Problems in a short Time to get the Assassin Target. After doing 3 Informant Missions its unlocked (PC Version) and you can but dont need to do the last 3 Missions.
Its right that its sometimes boring to do ever and ever again some Informant Missions to unlock the Assassin Target and your own Timeline or Climb Up somewhere to unlock the Area around of you.You need to be a Friend of the Game to not get bored of these Things.
Good graphics, good atmosphere (espescially in Acre), interesting story
100% Agreed.I love this Engine much. Its not looking like Crysis or so.The GFX is totally diffrent but ultra great. If i play AC i ever feel like im really in a Medieval Time. and that counts.
BUT awful gameplay. Its nice in first 10 minutes, but then you get terribly bored.
In first 10mins? The first 20 mins 100% arent boring
So Disagreed. You have no Time Limit and you can explore the Citys,if you like, without doing anything important. Then doing some Missions and again do some Fun there.
Alhough the Game Idea is straight and sometimes it feels boring but isnt.like i said you dont have any Time Limit. So no need to hurry, you have Time. Its not a fast Ego Shooter
1.Do 3 Informant Missions
2.Kill Target
3 Back to the Office to give away the bloody Feather.
4.mostly back to Al Mualim to Masyaf the next city or get out of thhe Animus.
All the Trails can be skipped, that means you dont need to ride all these long Ways. You normaly do it 1 Time to see the Land but then you skip it.These long Trails you need to ride in PS3 or 360 Version and slows down gameplay very hard.Thats true.
Stealth system is not that good too, why should I hide myself if I can cut them all down anyway? Im disappointed. VERY!
You know that you should run arround there incognito.Normaly.To not change the Timeline of other Peole too much.If the Timeline went to irregular you need to hide.So they forget your apperance fast.
About Stealthsystem:
I read at another Forum a long Time ago a thread called like -) How do you play AC?
1.Do the Bad Guy
and
2. Do the good Guy
85 % of the people how voted there are 1..But you only can be a bad Guy when your in good Skills with the Controls and hideing at diffent Places.
If you want to have some interaction with people throw one into a Gathering.lol
Acre is from Skill the hardest Level and best fighting City. The Crusaders are very strong at this Level ingame.Exploring Harbor Area and climbing Up the Red Cross Cathedral in Acre was a real plesaure.
But negah your 100% right
Normaly People love AC or hate it.Its like with other Games a Matter of Taste.I personnally love it much and for me it isnt boring besides of the Parts where you leave Animus and go sleep: .
For me AC is the Mental Balance when do not want play hard Ego Shooter.
Thanks for Reading,Mate

If they saw you coming, they would tear you up. I presume atleast some targets are from the major orders of knights, like the Templars or Hospitallers. Well trained, heavily armed and armored.negah wrote:I can cut them all down
I wish I had the game.

Re: Assassin's Creed PC Demo?
@Caleb1117: You haven't played it. At the end of the game there will be no stealth-action anymore, first you will fight against hordes of Saladin's troops and then you will fight arena-style against the best knights and the leader of the templars.
SPOILER
Its quite easy because only one of them is attacking you at a time. And you can deal with them without any problems. You just have to counter their attacks and when they fall down eliminate them with your hidden dagger.
In Thief games was a one-on-one fight not a problem, but if you was caught by two or more guards, the best solution was to run. Its more realistic IMHO.
