From what i understaned what was suppose to happend in that trilogy was acctually compress into one book (not to sure which one), remember reading that on TheForce.net, personaly i would like to know what happends after the series ends, they mention a little about it in the Dark Nest Trilogy, but not much.

You can't make fun of this because I made it in under 30 minutes so everything is screwed up , the only reason I made this was to start making it better earlier.
In the series the resistence had a lot of snipers so I was thinking the final version should have a lot of cover, plants, sniping spots etc.
so here it is, Garqi : http://s15.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2VBJ ... PLBM74QB0G

I was just going to send it to a few people but yousendit takes care of that for me because there is a limit to the number of days the download works and a certain amount of downloads
anyway when we get into SWBF2 they will be more secretive with only a few alpha/beta testers to have it more of a surprise for everyone else

I am now working on the Battle of Dantooine, the New Republic will have barriers, turrets, and a transport vehicle to defend against the attacking Yuuzhan Vong who will have some of their "tanks" and a moving command post.
info: http://starwars.wikicities.com/wiki/Bat ... nvasion%29
Here are some pics of what Dantooine looks like for those who don't know:

I was thinking about having the battle laid out like the one in the Clone Wars Micro Series, what do you guys think?
I also found a good pic of a Trandoshan, the Yuuzhan Vong enslaved the Chazrach which looked like a Trandoshan but was much smaller

ah, well that explains it, i never saw the series, i don't get cable
honestly, though, that looks a little boring for a map unless we're gonna put in loads of vehicles and stuff (which i dont think is a good thing to do for a first mod map)
i imagined something like a small camp just outside of a forest, with vong coming in from the plains. the barriers that you mentioned would be a key element.
perhaps we could make a first map with 4 CP's relatively close together, the refugee camp, a nearby landing field with some republic transports (nonflyable) or something, a starting point for the vong (perhaps with a vong space transport?), and another one out in the plain or something. the vong would start at their transport and be able to easily take over the plain cp, while the rep would in the camp and easily take over the lz.
later on, when we've got vehicles and stuff made, and are more comfortable modding, with better skills, etc, we could make another dantooine map simillar to the one pictured there (but with vong of course). a humongous battlefield, loads of vehicles, and hopefully air support as well. intended for play with huge numbers of people/bots.
just trying to point out, essentially, that we should start small (ie, maps w/o vehicles) so we dont have to create all the modles and stuff for the first map, then once we've got a couple maps out, move onto larger project like getting all the vehicles and stuff. dont forget, we still need to mod the basic vong classes in the game first.
