I know in the everything you need to know 2.0 is says that mod tools do not ship with the required material to make mod for the ps2. However clan merc has taught a friend of mine, (Raptor)Zero how to mod for the PS2. All you need to know is to put the mod in the server map playlist. Also MercJ and SG-17 are mod makers that can make mods for all systems including X box, PS2, and PC. The PS3 however does have a hard drive unlike the PS2. So I was wondering if on the PS3 internet or the use of a flash drive can you put PC mods on a PS2 or the PS3? Also here is a list of mods made by MerJ and SG-17. Please get back to me if you have any advice. Thanks. http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.co ... ERCJ;27235

Ok, I don't want to download all this stuff it says you need. Do I have to?
EDIT: I also found this in a ReadMe file for the Wampa Invasion mod:
Wampa Invasion's ReadMe wrote:
This mod will also work on the PS2 version of SWB2 if the "mission.lvl" file on a ripped ISO is replaced using Isobuster and a new image, created using PS2 CD/DVD Generator, is installed onto the PS2 HDD.
Then to be frank PS2 modding is over your head. Don't worry, lots of folks don't get it. But if you have a modded PS2 and play modded PS2 games then you know all about ISOs and swapping files in and out of them, etc.
Just stick with the PC. It suxbad on the PS2 anyways.
You do not need to burn a disk, you just need to have online play.
You just replace the modded .lvl file with the old one in the server data folder, when you play in that server the game will read the mod.
Like lets say I remove all tanks from Naboo, by overwriting imp_hover_fightertank with 00000000000000000000 completely overwriting it but not going over. Now I go into C:/Program Files/LucasArts/SWBF2PS2Server/Data/nab/ and replace(or just save the edit) with the new one.
You can only do simple things without making a mod disk like:
Remove Tanks
Remove Death Regions
Change the values for Damage Regions
Change the command posts around
Add command posts to where you see the empty white beam during online play
Adjust the speed/damage/armor for units
Make it so you can land anywhere in space
Increase/Decrease the points needed for special classes
There might be more that I am forgetting.
If you want to do more intricate things like changing units, sides, etc you need to burn a disk.
