Make sure they're not trying to sign up with a hotmail or yahoo email account. We don't allow those for reason which Guru can explain.

hotmail and yahoo accounts are banned from registering , as people can get 1000 of them easily and wont care if they spam sites using them. 99% of people have real accounts they care about, like bellsouth or gmail , those are the email accounts we want signing up here to avoid lame spamming. I should add alot more addresses to the no sign up list but thats ok for now. hope he can sign up , if not there is a reason and tell him to have a nice one.
