Reticulemod for Sniper

Post by hunting shadow »

Su'cuy (Hi),

This is my reticulemod for the sniper in SWBF2. It isn't more than hexedited sides, but I think there wasn't such a mod, so I made it. It's my first mod/ file release so please excuse mistakes I surely made. The fisrst link is to the mod, the second to a tutorial I made, so that you can do it yourself if you want:

Note: I deleted the mod, think the tut is more useful
Tutorial: Link removed

Is this modding scopes? Cuz I know that the reticles are hardcoded ion SWBFII. Can we see some screens?

Interesting thing to know, since we have the textures for all the reticles. Since the textures are in Common\interface, it's best to assume that this is part of the HUD, and indeed if you did a little searching on the site, it's been stated that they're part of the HUD.

Huh. I remember multiple people asking for help remaking them, and then someone goes around and says, "Oh, it's impossible, they're hardcoded."

Doing a search reveals that anytime anyone said they were hardcoded, it was refuted.

What screens do you mean? Ingame or some of the hex-editing? And I don't know what you are discussing on, maybe it's because I'm German and still learning English :) . But I didn't change the reticules, I just enabled them for the sniper. In the ODF there's a line wich says "reticuleiaimingonly" or similar. Normal weapons have got a 0 after it, the sniper a one. So all i did was opening the side .lvls and changeing the "1" into a "0" with hex-editor.

I'm sorry, but we will not host/affiliate ourselves with mods that encourage cheating. Link from first post is removed and please make sure you read the rules.
