Not to be a jerk, but read the tools' documentation and look in the FAQ / Everything You Need thread. The answers are right in there.yoyoman wrote:off topic Is there a way I can look at the effects besides going to the game?

I think you should just practice simple sides thing and mapping before making something as big as a nuke.

Re: nuke gun
Just to point out something, if there's anything between a unit and the blast, no matter how large the blast radius is, then the unit will be unharmed.
Also, if you want to get acquainted with some basic operations of Particle Editor, there's a tutorial here. Still, like mitch, I would recommend getting more familiar with side modding before attempting a "nuke gun."

To make your own effects, I highly recommend using this fine tutorial: http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... or#p403871 (Just some friendly advice) You'll notice the words Particle Editor are hi-lighted, that's because I used the site's "search" feature to find the tutorial you needed, always be sure to use that to find what you need, then if you can't find it post a thread.
Otherwise I'd just reference the seismic charge effect, named: "com_sfx_weap_seismiccharge"
