Re: What would you rate the Crysis Series/Crysis 2!!
It depends on range, some types of ammunition, for example pistol or JHP ammunition, are losing their power very fast, and therefore cant do much damage after the bullet passes some distance. And even if you hit the target at far range with that kind of ammunition you wont do much harm (that means you wont wound him deadly, most likely it will still break some bones).
Same goes for low velocity ammo used in silenced weapons.
Moreover most modern army units are wearing ballistic vests, which are not a problem for standard rifle FMJ ammo, but will protect the wearer from low velocity ammunition.

Crysis is actually pretty fun if you can have a comp that can run it on high settings, i'd give it a 9/10

Pssh. Screw high settings. Low settings are good too. Probably about as good as Halo 2, if not better. And Halo 2 isn't bad. I have to use low because of my RAM, and it's still great.DarthRogueKnight wrote:Crysis is actually pretty fun if you can have a comp that can run it on high settings, i'd give it a 9/10

It's not; that's an old Crysis 1 trailer.

It makes no sense for that to be Cry2 footage. That video was posted in october. Crysis 2 was announced publicly this month (I think) and so how could he have known about Cry2 8 months before it's announced?

I didn't look at the date of the video and I never did watch any trailers or such as Crysis was recommended by a friend and I didn't have time then to research anything.Fluffy_the_ic wrote:It makes no sense for that to be Cry2 footage. Be that as it may, look at Star Wars Battlefront 3 gameplay that was and IS all over the internet, hasn't even been announced yet!

...and SWBF3 has switched hands many times since then, and we aren't even sure if they're still using the same features shown in the trailer (or if it's even being worked on anymore).

That doesn't have anything to do with this debate.YTF wrote:...and SWBF3 has switched hands many times since then, and we aren't even sure if they're still using the same features shown in the trailer (or if it's even being worked on anymore).
I don't think they are still working on BF3, I think the company didn't fulfil the contract and they stopped production. . .sucks. . .

Though it doesn't follow the thread's original topic, it does follow the topic of the last few posts. I believe he's saying that you can't really use SWBF3 as an example because of the lack of information and the sudden switch of developers.delta578 wrote:That doesn't have anything to do with this debate.YTF wrote:...and SWBF3 has switched hands many times since then, and we aren't even sure if they're still using the same features shown in the trailer (or if it's even being worked on anymore).
