Buffed ammo?

Post by Dreadnot9 »

Is it possible to have a buff weapon that refills ammo, similar to the health and defense buffs? It'd be nice to be able to eliminate ammo/health dispensers entirely.

I never looked into buffs but if it's not possible you could create a weapon that dispenses an invisible ammo droid which refills the ammo of nearby units. Give it a few seconds to refill then kill it via script.

I actually didn't know you could dispense ammo droids at all...
I'm assuming you just make it the ordnance for the dispenser?

The repair class weapon also supports increasing ammo. http://www.secretsociety.com/forum/down ... meters.txt
I used this in the DMI sides, for a working example.

This looks interesting, it could be used for other things like a healing gun as well too. Thanks mav.

EDIT: What's the difference between soldier health and person health?

"Soldier" is a defunct healthtype, as far as I can remember. I think it works interchangeably with "person," but I usually just ignore it.

Is this what you used for your medic in DT2?
