I came here in the original Battlefront days after pcgamemods.com shut down. I was stoked that such a great game had mod tools, something I thought LucasArts generally ignored (remember, Jedi Outcast/Academy tools are community-based). I released Haruun Kal: Jungle, then got into researching what could be done with the game engine. That led to Teancum's Tech Map, which I released right before I got Battlefront II. I wanted to play the classic Battlefront maps again, and thus after some research the original Convo Pack team was born. If I remember right there were four of us originally, two from [GT] clan and two from [TAW]. Eventually we completely re-converted all the maps again, effectively wiping out the original efforts. From there it just escalated as folks found the real potential of the game.

I got burned out on the Convo Pack, and Mav was gracious enough to step in and finish it for me. When I finally got motivated again I'd become much more of a console gamer and decided to start my Xbox mod. Nowadays I mostly lurk, occasionally answering questions.

Okay then I will begin...a long time ago my brother bought Star Wars Battlefront for his Playstation 2, and my first map I've played was Bespin Platforms. When my brothers was at school, I go to his room and played SWBF secretly.
Years later at Christmas time I got my own Xbox and my first game, SWBF2. It was great to play the space maps at the first time with friends. after some years of intensive gaming I stopped playing SWBF2 and began to play Star Wars KoTOR. After KotOR, I talked about friends how great a KotOR mod would be for SWBF2. Next day I searched in the web for a "kotor mod" and bam! there was the conversion pack. But my PC was terrible, so some months later I've bought a Laptop and SWBF2 for Pc. My first mod was the Conversion pack, now I have 9 addon folders
Every day I have checked SWBFFiles for new mods, I was a mod-a-holic!
Last year I came to the Gametoast community and then the magic begins.
I have download Firefek's modding tutorial and began to learn :cpu: . Now I making mods and maps for private use and will maybe release some to the public in the future. My first released map to the public was Dead City, not good but a beginning. (sorry for the advertising of my map)
I hope the ghost of the SWBF 2 modding and this great community will be alive for many years

I used to check Filefront everyday too.
Anyways, here's my story. I got BF1 for my birthday in 2008 I believe for the PC. However I didn't get to play it until about a week later because my brothers wouldn't give me a turn. When I finally got to play I was obsessed with it (figured out why my brothers weren't letting me play), I would play it as often as I could. A year later my friend got BF2 for the PS2 but I didn't like it for some reason and stuck yo BF1 until 2011 when I got BF2 for the PC. This time I actually enjoyed playing the game and unlocked legendary for all awards in a few months. After a while I got bored of playing on the PC and started playing on the PS3 instead.

Then one day one of my brothers showed me FileFront and I was like "This is amazing! " and that got me right back into the battlefront series. I downloaded tons of mods and always thought to myself "How do people make these?" so I started coming up with ideas for mods still completely unaware of how to make them. Later on I was desperate to know how to make mods/maps and searched for "how to make a map for battlefront 2" and I found a youtube channel that explained the basics of modding. The basics being all I had for tutorials I began experimenting with the odf's and LUA. I learned how to change weapon properties, change the player model, add points to unlock classes, add recoil to weapons, and all kinds of stuff. So near the end of 2011 I started to make "Nedarb7's MOD" and finished it in summer 2012 (I didn't know about GT yet).

And now comes my story on finding Gametoast. I wanted to make a custom weapon for one of my clone troopers and tried searching for tutorials on FileFront and somehow I ran in the 3D object converter which referenced Gametoast in the description. Since I really wanted to make the custom weapon I came to Gametoast and explored it (unregistered for a while) and couldn't believe how I never ran into it before. So one day I decided to register and I will never look back, I've gained much more knowledge of modding ever since and am still learning more to this day. :D
There's my modding/battlefront story.

Assuming neither of us die or we have catastrophic equipment failures (and I've already had two laptops die on me, can't keep me down).
Exactly correct. So unless all six of my computers fail on me in some wolf man-sized explosion of negativeness, THERE AIN'T NO STOPPING US!

Just wait until you delete it from each machine one at a time securely thinking that you're fine because it's backed up on all the other machines. Until you suddenly realize you just deleted your last copy/backup. That was enough to stop me.
