I can't find ANY link to the 1.6

I haven't tried this map before - wanted to wait to see if it was serius enough to get on the Top List :wink:

still, I've looked at Page 1, then I looked at page 21 - nothing there; just a list or 2 about what's in the 1.6 :?

I don't want anybody to respond like "hey - look at page XX!" if there Is an obvious link, just post it and let it be :)

believe me, this map IS serious enough to get on the top list. Arguably the best map out there.

Call me crazy, i dont know if this is a feature i missed or something but i swear i just saw an R-2 unit when i was playing as the sith lord. Than I destroyed it.

EDIT: Woah thats wierd I just read back and it said they were removed, this is the only one ive seen, i like the little dudes.

Yep, Yoda is there now. Astromech droids are coming back(fixed the prob).
All hero's are playable..just generic jedi went local(and geonoians and acklay). It frees up slots to put the actors in that really WERE at
geonosis. I redid the entire build for stability..seems to be holding up great.

Theres a mean Acklay hive up on the hill now..with CP in a cave. You have to fight through them to take the point. Been testing all morning and no crashes.

Jessika...I might ask your group to test this version before I submit a link to it later this week, if you dont mind. Seems your very active in online play.

I'd LOVE to test it. I play with a lot of people on my server. I also plan to make the server public this summer (not just my friends) when I get a second server specifically aimed towards playtesting multiplayer maps, hopefully some people from here can join in when that happens.

Thanks for the offer Stager. This map's my favorite!

@ Jessicka: when you get a public server, I'll join like a shot! I'd lvoe to do som serious MP action on this Geonisis map. I'm thinking how cool it would be to fight Yoda vs Dooku in the CIs hangar!

Finally, got this thing rock-solid in multiplayer! About 12 hours with no crashes.

Ill be testing the rest of the week...and with luck release it this weekend.
Last and only thing left is Arc170 sounds.

Acklay nest side-quest included.
Generic Jedi and Geonosians are locals(lots of them)
droidfighters and jedistarfighters included..and increased amounts.
Yoda is present now.
Sith lord is out...he just didnt fit in.
Ongoing Hanger battles now.

Yoda vs Acklay is a bit amusing.

I can't wait to play it. Sounds amazing. I want to see how it works with a lot of players too. This is the best multiplayer map in my opinion where I feel immersed with everyone and people can do more interesting things then the typical maps.

Are the reinforcements set really high on this version too?

Well, for testing I still have it unlimited(so a never ending battle shows potential crashes). Im still thinking about what the final count should be. Likely around 1500 or so. Units die by the dozens in this map..so re-enforcements have to be pretty high.

That and tweaking balancing issues are all im waiting for before we do some testing. The Jedi are overwhealming the Geonosians..even at 3 to 1.

Trying to handicap the jedi a bit..because visually they look good and I dont want to cut down the unit count.

2000 would be good to try. 3 if the server is maxed out with real people. Some of my friends are really good at doing strafing runs in the ships and things die quick.

Also, maybe you could add Hunt mode. It could be Count Dooku, Acklays and Geonosians vs. Jedi, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda, Mace Windu etc.

Im pretty sure 2000 units on field would make multiplayer impossible...lol

about 400 should be plenty...the logistics of trying to control that many troops is a nightmare.

When we played around with your last release we had a ton on there, it was okay for everyone but I think to accomodate everyone I the way you have it is probably good. Most of the people I play with are effective at making long battles end very fast is all, no performance problems though.

I was answering another poster who recommended 2000 on field "at one time".
I agree 2000 in reenforcements would likely be okay. Just not 2000 in the battle all at the same time. This would prove a disaster for most PC's im sure...lol

I thought so cause they said units, and I like the huge reinforcements. I watched that battle again from the episode 2, it's too bad there isn't a way to fight in all the dust... although it looked like that might have been fallout or whatever the word is from a destroyed ship. It looked cool, i like the idea of firing into the dust against barely visible enemies. Kind of close quarter too.
