Trouble saving scenes in Softimage 2013 [Solved]

I am having trouble saving scenes in softimage 2013. I can't save them because of A) an invalid project location or B) the disk is write protected errors. Help? Thanks!

Save as a new scene. I get this problem often when saving scenes that I created with another version of Windows.

[13:28] [GT] Marth vas Normandy: Create a new project called "SWBF2" or something, doesn't matter.

...

[13:28] [GT] Marth vas Normandy: And then with the new project highlighted, click "Set Active Project".

...

[13:29] [GT] Marth vas Normandy: And THEN try saving.

...

I did the above with my location being the desktop, works like a charm. And that how we solved it.
