Settingup leaves in XSI

Im trying to make a pine tree in xsi and I follow the tgen tutorial perfectly expect when i put on my transparency map its make the leave clear and the background black. If someone could tell me what im doing wrong that would be very helpful. Also when rending map for texture do i need to click anything special?

1st: when the leaves become clear and the background becomes black you must invert the alphachannel
2nd: what is "rendering a map for texture"?

iom afraid i dont nderstand what ou want to say, do you create a tga with xsi or what?

yes u are able to create one tga using xsi but now the outside is clear and now the leaves are black.

you should only invert the alphachannel not the whole image

well i got the leaves color up and and everything right now i need to figure out how to make tga and export right.
