Wow, looks great. I love the mix of stormtroopers and clones (as in the armor).
The mandalorians look cool too, I really like the blue and white droids.

Wow, very nice skins, man! But with Overlord Teti Viba, you will be having the more updated jetpack flame effect, right? Along with the other units that have that jet pack.

Re: Endor: Death Watch Bunker Assault
Thanks, guys (the Death Watch skins are by RSL). The Overlord is the only one with the jetpack and it's actually the same jetpack found on the EP2 Jet Trooper. That means there is no need to update the jetpack effect; it's already aligned correctly.

The sides indeed look ripe for a test map (hintlikestheideahint)!

Re: Endor: Death Watch Bunker Assault
Dang. Your test map looks better than my map going on atm. Still on Endor, I am guessing? XD
Nice work, AQT! I'm working as much as I can on the map, layout wise. Corridors were harder than I thought when I started. Well... gonna keep working at it.
I'm probably not going to have much corridors and whatever corridors I don't want to finish will be blocked off by rocks (I am guessing. Like the section caved in or something.) But don't worry. Plenty of places to run around in when it's done.

Thanks, man! Yep, it's still on Endor. The outside environment is pretty much set and complete. I'll try to replicate the outside environment I have now once it's polishing time. Or maybe you can move (it shouldn't be hard at all) the bunker to a new layer and then merge this layer with what I have now later on, perhaps?

lol Sounds good. I'll just worry about the bunker part at the moment then. It's a pain in the butt, but it gives me something to do. lol

Re: Endor: Death Watch Bunker Assault
The test map should be done soon once I am able to obtain the Death Watch CP icon. I've added in custom weapon sounds and the B-1s and B-2s are no longer mute! They sound just like the ones from Republic Commando.

Re: Endor: Death Watch Bunker Assault
Still working on the map. The corridors are not behaving, but I am managing to tackle them down. I'm replacing things with things that look a little better and also don't hog 50% of the map with unnecessary...ness. Anyways, I am trying to make it as unique as I can get it and with B.I.G. Cookie's textures it'd look a lot better. :p
Whatever places I don't feel like touching on... I block it with boulders or some explanation of why it is closed off. In any case... I am working on the map. It's just taking awhile. But, hey, all mappers don't need to rush, right? Because a rushed map = not a good map. An unrushed map = a possibly okay map/great map. So.... anyways. I'm constantly testing. Trying to make things look good. Experimenting with different corridors from different maps to give off some 'atmosphere' that this Bunker is not a place someone just wants to waltz into guns blazing. :p
And right now, this map looks like a make-shift bunker with random parts. XD

Ok good.
I will have holidays tomorrow.
I guess I will send you the Mustafar / Hoth / Corridor skins tomorrow.
Some other skins will be finished over the weekend.

Re: Endor: Death Watch Bunker Assault
Everything is going great. Though I am taking breaks off and on, stuff is getting done, map-wise. As far as corridors go, more and more are being added (as far as alignment goes.... lol well.....I'll get to that later). Having objects snapped to grid hasn't really helped, so not using the grid is helping me out. Replaced some things that didn't look good. The first room is going to be big...imagine two Hoth hangars snapped together. :p Going to be retextured of course. My map won't be completely accurate, but for gameplay reasons, I am trying to keep it somewhat entertaining and unique on the layout. Having as much accuracy as you can while still maintaining gameplay is good and I hope I can still achieve that.
Don't worry. Trying to update you all as much as I can, status-wise.

It's sounding great! Once everything is properly retextured, be sure to post some screenshots.

Re: Endor: Death Watch Bunker Assault
Update. More corridors added. A lot of them reskinned by B.I.G_Cookie already. Looking really cool. Hoping to give that eerie feeling once you're inside the bunker. Everything and anything is hopefully going to be 'intimidating', especially the Super Battle Droids you guys played with on the test map, because imagine seeing a slow B-2 going slowly towards you down a narrow corridor and you can't do much to him at close range because he has a melee attack and can backhand you so hard into the nearest wall. You can't do much without getting shot in the face if you fight him at a distance either. Only choice would be to lure him into a bigger room with more cover and hope to be able to flank him and destroy him with your weapon somehow (also depends on the weapon/class you guys got). I'm hoping with my placement and AQT touching up things that this is going to be a cool map to play in. I really do hope.
Hope you guys love close quarters. :p
For those who played SWG and has done the Death Watch Bunker raid should know that the Super Battle Droid's H.A.M. was massive (I don't mean the meat.). They were hard to take down and it required the whole group to take down one. And in later versions of SWG, they were more like in the higher level 90's and were 'elite'. It was practically impossible to do anything in there without dying after the NGE. Pre-CU times is where it was all going down. We still all died, but we were much further in the bunker. Ah, good times, good times. Hopefully this will somehow recreate the type of CQB we had to go through. :p

Update: Still working on it. I'll munge it and test it out soon and if all connects well, I'll get a few screenshots in-game.

Wow, I really like the new Overlord skin! It's a shame the homing rockets had to go, ah well.
Nice progress.
