changing name of map

Post by Elmo »

I believe there already was a topic on this, but how do you change a name for a map that you have been working on? Like Naboo: battlefield to Naboo: attack or something, but you've been working on it and you don't want to start over. How would you change the name? Thx for any help in advance!

Use the localize tool. In your data_ABC folder, launch the editlocalize batch file, and you'll come up with the localize tool. Go down to the "mapname" scope, then go down to the "name" scope within that. Then select your world's three-letter ID, and the name will show up on the right in the box. Then just change it to whatever you like. Remember though, it's wise to localize in all languages. The drop-down menu underneath that box allows you to select the language you want to edit. Then when you're done, save the file, and you should be all set.

A note on saving with the MUltiLanguage tool: The program will stop responding while it's saving the language files, so don't worry, It will save it eventually.
