Leaves in Xsi

Post by Unlucky13 »

I am trying to make some leaves/thorns on one of my models. I am pretty sure it is possible, I just don't know how to do it. I would just make a bunch of triangles but that would most likely lag battlefront since I am putting quiet a few in my map. I don't really what them to be cloth but if that is my only choice I'll do it. Here is what I am trying to acheive.

use transparency, make a conelike shaped round of polygons around the trunk and put either one repeating texture with one leaf or one texture with multiple leafes in a row on it (with transparency aroud the leafes of course) and give the polygons hardedged doublesided transparency.

No need. The effect you want to achieve is possible with Hex Editing.

How?
If it is hard then I can wait, I will need to open one of the trials soon anyways and I have so far acheived nothing with hexediting. :(
