Wow, that's awful, Tean.
I've got lots of time and I'm really bored so I might as well tell you guys my experience.
This happened a while back. I can't remember what game it was, but the deal was that if I traded in 3 games, I could pre-order another game. So I traded in 3 gamecube games that I never played; Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, The Incredibles, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
The deal was that the games had to be worth $7 each (which is a ripoff, they were worth at least $15 at the time) and my games ended up only reaching $3 each, except for Lord of the Rings, which came out to be $7.
So the employee, who was a pretty nice guy, said he'd just put it on my store credit and then I could just pay the rest of the pre-order when my game came in. When the game came in (finally), they called and said I could come pick it up. I went with my Dad and when we got there, the employee (not the same guy) told us that there were no records of in-store credit and I would have to pay the whole amount. We refused to and my Dad asked for the manager, but he wasn't there at the time. About a month and a ton of angry phone calls, and e-mails later, I finally got my game, but only because the district manager finally gave in.

Yeah, so EB Games has lost my family.

So I'm buying a present for my sister. The lego Indiana Jones game. So I come in and there are some strange people working there. I look around and find the game. I ask 'em how much it costs. Actuall Conersation (or close enough):

"Hiddy dollar."
"Excuse me sir?"
"I say hiddy dollar."
I'm sorry sir, I just can't understand you."
I say hiddy dollar *uninterperatable words*!"

So finally some guy walks up and tells me it costs 50 dollars. I buy it and leave. I go home and we try it out. 6 rings cut into the cd. The worstly scratched up piece of **** I've ever seen. Took it back and with much persuasion, got a full refund.

Gamespot - just no. No.
