Really nice screenies but....the dead clones aren't my taste. The ewok looks good though :lol:

lol... I'd say the Ewok.

It gives some humor, then again it gives some Drama as to how dark of a time it was.

To me a screen shot is:

A look over the battle field
A dead body close to the screen but still showing the battle behind it
a glamor shot of a unit ON THE SIDE showing the battle behind him

Oooh. I really like that Weequay one. I think I'll be using that. The shooting dark trooper is pretty good, too.

I think I have enough for now. I'll probably want a few more after I release the next beta.

EDIT: Oh, wait, I just realized--I don't have any shots of Assault mode. Would you mind taking a few Assault mode shots? Pretty please? :P

There's 5 of those I really like.

1. The dead Galactic Marine in the first thumbnail.
2. The Galactic Marine walking through the narrow hallway. Originally there were two marines in the narrow hallway (Behind the current one.)
3. The Weequay.
4. The falling shock trooper.
5. The dark trooper.

Cool Map look like great minesanddetpackfun!!!
Why the mak isnt called rhenvar tunnels or something like this.
the clonecommanders and the drenadier looks cool.
Do you could release the assets ??

I didn't want to make it on a planet that already has a bunch of good maps for it, so I didn't go with Rhen Var. Plus, Rhen Var isn't in Empire at War. ;)

And I probably will release whatever assets from the map are mine (most of the Zann Consortium, I guess) if people ask for them. A lot of this map, however, is made from pulling together assets that other people have released (or asking nicely for them) and I can't release those assets on my own. :)

I've pretty much reached a standstill when it comes to the sound issues. I've added a big red notice to the first post with a link to the topic I need help in. If I can't get help in that topic, I don't think I'll be able to fix any of the sound issues in the map.

:(

The good news is, though, that most of the missing sounds are pretty minor and don't detract much from the map.

Authraw, sides aren't everything.

I would suggest you to first make the map to be actually fun without any edited sides, so just after this you should think on making the new sides.


About the mandalorians, I think you should put the jet pack texture back on, cause they don't look like mandalorians without them lol.

Did you already tried to put a snow storm on the outside of the tunnels?

:D Thanks for the feedback. I'm actually quite happy with the map layout--but you're right, this map is focused pretty strongly on the sides. I dunno, the sides have always been my favourite part of any map, so that's just what I focused on.

I've actually already got some really good ideas for my next map, and it will focus a little more on map design (although it will have some awesome edited sides, too. :P )

I'm still not sure how I feel about the jetpackless Mandalorians. I think I'll leave them in for the next private beta and see what people think first.

Actually, I'm getting pretty close to being ready to release another private beta--I've just got to fix those sound issues, as well as a few other minor tweaks.

I've also added a poll to the topic regarding unit voices. So should I try to add voices to the Mandalorians and Zann consortium units (at the expense of a much larger filesize) or should I just leave it as-is? Personally, I'm thinking that the extra filesize wouldn't be worth it (it would be several extra megabytes--I'm blindly guessing 20 to 30 more.)

The time bomb can be fixed. It is a hint node issue. You put the mine hint nodes in the map and the time bomb probably uses the same AI name. This can easily be fixed by going into the odf and changing its AI name to something else. (but what?)

I'm sure that would do it, but I'm not sure why they all had timebombs in the first place. They're kind of useless, if you ask me. I took them out for now--maybe I'll give them something else later.

Well, they did at one time, but they said things like they were bounty hunters...and they're not bounty hunters. If I decide to make voices for them (not looking very likely) I'll try to make it match as close as I can to Jango and Boba. ;)

Yeah, jetpacks are cool, but I'm starting to like them without the jetpacks. It's a little more in-line with cannon (not all Mandalorians had jetpacks) and it helps to balance the sides a bit more.

I'm still not positive, but I'm really leaning towards letting just the commander and Spar have jetpacks.

All right my input:

only a couple of things to adress;

1. AI like to run into the corner in the small spiral ramp thing.
2. Spar was killed WAY too easily, he needs to be more powerful.
3. Get rid of some of the flamethrowers. Not all Mando's used them.

Other than that it was amazing! :)
