For anyone who has ever played the KotOR era in BF2, you might've heard of a Force power called Burst of Speed. This power increases your movement speed for a short period of time. I was wondering if this was possible in BF1, and if so, what lines would I add in the .odf?
Any help is much appreciated.

Re: Increasing Movement Speed Ingame
in my experience you can change the maximum speed of the units but you cant make a "Burst of Speed"!
look at these lines in the odf:
change "maxspeed" but you are not able to change it as you want!
i think the maximum is 8.5 but i am not sure... just try it out
if you make a number that is bigger then 8.5 the unit will be faster but the legs of the unit wont move!
look at these lines in the odf:
Code: Select all
Acceleraton = 70.0
MaxSpeed = 6.5
MaxStrafeSpeed = 4.5
MaxTurnSpeed = 4.0i think the maximum is 8.5 but i am not sure... just try it out
if you make a number that is bigger then 8.5 the unit will be faster but the legs of the unit wont move!

I already know how to change the maximum speed of a unit.... what I want to know is if I can use a weapon of some sort to temporarily increase your max speed in the middle of a game.

No Lua scripting was used for that, but I don't think SWBF1 has the right ordnance/weapon type to make this work anyhow.ANDEWEGET wrote:its not possible, because swbf1 has no lua scripting wich youll need for this i think

Hmmm. That stinks. If only SWBF1 had sprint
Oh well, I guess I can live without it. Thanks for the help anyway.
