Btw i do have a huge map archive because i never deleted any map i downloaded. Unfortunately most of them only have their three letter names, so i often do not know what map hides behind those folders. is there a way to find out what name a map has without putting it in the addon folder and look ingame? it would be an enormous work to look them all up and very time consuming as well. if there is a possibility, please tell me!

Well, I know it's not battle of the titans, because I play that one a lot. I'm pretty sure the first two initials were ZG...but who knows? I remember the loading screen had a huge sign on it...

The only thing I could recommend is searching in the maparchive the 3-letters name and find the complete map name. Anyway thanks for your participation to the maparchive build

The name of a map is saved somewhere within the core.lvl file. You could write a program which goes through all your 3 letter folders, there opens up the core.lvl and retrieves the name of the map out of there. I think with a little bit of work I could accomplish that. Maybe I will.

Another thing: I don't know where to ask, thought that this thread could be the best place:
Are there any maps or mods, in which you can play characters of the Star Wars books? Such as Jaina Solo, Mara Skywalker, Darth Bane...?

Not finished ones, no. You can play as Mara Jade in the mod Dark Times II and some maps of the Conversion Pack, though.

SK1 (Space KotOr) and Mygeeto Storm are 2 very interesting maps wich the link broke. Could you please reupload them, please?

EDIT: I finaly uploaded Kotor Tatooine. I compressed it to 120 MB about, I couldn't find a better compression level (remember, at start the map is over 700MB big).

What you're asking is impossible to do

I know only 3 peoples who collectionned many maps since a long time. AlexSecura is gone, he lost all his SWBF2 files. Nihillo lost the most of the maps he had when his computer crashed. Myself I remember playing many maps before, and I accidentaly deleted them. If you want to get more map, your only hope is getting them from their author (easy if the author is still active) or trying to recover maps from a HD or CD/DVD.
Note: It's possible to recover the deleted files from an HD with a software like Recuva, Restoration, HandyRecovery, ...
