Removing maps/mods

Post by giftheck »

How do I remove unwanted maps and mods from the playlist? If I just remove them from addon, they still appear on the list.

Some mods might be located in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\Addon and not the regular game directory.

Open up your addon directory with an archive like 7zip. Sometimes, if you extract directly to the addon, they will be hidden.

I'm on Windows 10: you can't unzip direct to the addon folder if it's within Program Files (x86) and the Virtual Store addon folder is empty.

You could uninstall the game, ensure LucasArts folder is deleted completely and re-install the game. You may want to backup your saved profiles unless you want to lose scores and control layouts.

Just try looking in it while using an archive, like 7Zip or Winzip instead of windows explorer.

Funny you posted this, I had the exact same problem with mod maps being in my game but no addon folder is there. I had Darda Beach, Amador Deep Forest, Korriban Sith Academy and Aquilaris Deep Sea. Thanks for the help though I did not ask how to fix the problem Anthony.

If you want to do a clean uninstall, I would recommend using a program like Revo uninstaller, which will trace any hidden files of the game that may be causing this. You can find it with a free 30 day trial on their website.
