Mod Tools actin funny...

Post by SymbolS »

My mod tools are acting strange...whenever I place an object from my /data???/zeroeditor it says zeroeditor has encountered a problem and needs to shutdown. But when I launch Zeroeditor from my /bf2 mod tools/data folder or whereever it is it workds perfectly, unfrotunately if you run it from there it won't make changes to your map...any suggestions?

Two things you should check first:

1-Make sure your color settings (in the video settings) are set to 32-bit
2-Make sure you installed the tools to a directory without spaces. C:\Program Files\SWBF2\Mod Tools will not work. C:\Games\SWBF2\ModTools is fine.

I don't see what that has to do with me placing objects, I can already place them, but not under my /data???/zeroedit, its really weird. so then i cant munge it to get it to work in game.

Check if the *.odf of the object you are placing does not containg references to unexcisting other *.odf or *.msh.

If you copy a *.odf to your world but forget to copy the *.msh then you get this error.

Welcome to GameToast!

Although I'm sure the "THANK YOU"'s are appreciated, you should try to refrain from using lots of caps, and try not to put that many "THANK YOU"'s, some admins might translate you last post as "spam"

Read the Rules so we can count on you being here for a long time: http://www.gametoast.com/index.php?name ... pic&t=3474

Oh, and good luck with your mod(s) :)
