When I open the modtools, all I see is a window of something titled Star Wars Battlefront II and then it goes away. Anyone know how to solve this?

PS. Sorry about the last topic im new here.
Oh, yeah. It also says that binkw32.dll can't be found. This file is in the game folder. I copied it into the modtools directory and it created some folders and files, but the files say this:
Opened logfile BFront2.log 2006-09-01 1459
Message Severity: 3
.\Source\GameState.cpp(1562)
Could not open core.lvl
Message Severity: 3
.\Source\GameState.cpp(1609)
Could not open common.lvl
Message Severity: 3
.\Source\ShellLoop.cpp(281)
Could not open shell.lvl
Message Severity: 3
.\Source\LuaScript.cpp(435)
Script file shell_interface not found
Any idea how to solve this?

Make sure it's in the gamedata folder, not just the Battlefront II folder. The BF2 Modding FAQ wrote:Question: Why won't BF2_modtools.exe run? I get a binkw32.dll error.
Answer: You need to copy the file to your Battlefront II/Gamedata folder and run it from there

Those messages are saying that the game has a bad core.lvl, shell.lvl, and common.lvl, does the regular version of the game work?

Re: Hebes to the rescue!
I think it only says those because it was trying to run it out of a folder in which the .lvl files were not present.Hebes24 wrote:Those messages are saying that the game has a bad core.lvl, shell.lvl, and common.lvl, does the regular version of the game work?
