Re: Finally, Battlefield 3
Oh, that's Wake alright. It's been in alot of Battlefield games starting in 1942 and has appeared in BF2 and 2142. DICE always finds a way to get it in any major Battlefield game.
My God, that's gorgeous. I'm soo excited.

Re: Finally, Battlefield 3
Return to Karkland is going to be DLC that will available on release. It will cost money for anyone who doesn't buy the Limited Edition.
I know some developers prepare DLC maps before release, but to have it finished around the same time that the actual game goes ZBR/gold and for sale at the same time is a little too much for me to defend. I really don't know if I even want to deal with EA anymore at this point.

I do agree that the timing makes EA look like a huge Diet Dr. Pepper, but I am happy with what's in the content.
They released two new screens of Oman and Sharqi.

Haha, thanks. And yes, that episode has better visuals of it than my link.
I get excited more and more. I'm hoping during E3 they show multiplayer footage. It's funny also how they're showing off BF2 maps and no new maps. By funny I mean interesting.

I am quite sure thats intentional, that way they can get people eager to see the new maps, and get more ohhs and ahhs when they do reveal them, you know, like modders

Operation Metro. Man, I'm more excited now. BF3 had a great showing at EA's conference.

Normally I'd say "Settle down there Kanye" but right now I think I'm gonna have to agree. I'm so Diet Dr. Pepper excited for this game.THEWULFMAN wrote:Moving_Target wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPu7-LtL ... ideo_title

Not that COD: MW3 is bad, but it is a sad joke compared to BF3.
*runs to confirm that BF3 is coming to the Xbox 360*

Re: Finally, Battlefield 3
I think it just depends on what gameplay you prefer, the Battlefield series is more squad, vehicular
based with much larger open maps for sandbox play, whereas COD seems more run 'n' gun, fast paced corridor shooter. Then there's the graphics

Combine BF3 with Ace Combat: Assualt Horizon, and you get the best game ever produced, yes, better than SWBF2.Jendo7 wrote:I think it just depends on what gameplay you prefer, the Battlefield series is more squad, vehicular

They're probably not going right now, but they've been streaming interviews with DICE at E3 and showing off bits of gameplay all day.
ALSO: Classes have been detailed.

Engineer and Recon stay generally the same from BFBC2. The main difference is Assault and Medic have been combined into one class, and a new class called Support will be using LMGs. I'm excited to see this suppressing system in action.

Yes! I'm soo happy about that combo of assault and medic. I hope you can make a special ops build off of any other class behinds recon. I don't like running around as a wookie.Thire wrote:http://www.ustream.tv/battlefield3

What? BC2 was all Wookiees in the Mist for me...Moving_Target wrote:I don't like running around as a wookie.
Classes seem to be going in the 2142 direction, which is good. The supports(I suppose theyll be equipped with the ammo boxes again) will be dominating the top of the score list, with all the suppressing fire going on...
And something I saw over at Polycounts BF3 thread which maybe explains the dinosaur at the beginning of the Thunder Run gameplay video:

What the gametoast is wrong with people?
I am not even going to try to justify that in any way.

There's something wrong there? That was the biggest reason MW2 sucked.THEWULFMAN wrote:ANDEWEGET wrote:http://i.imgur.com/w9MAc.png

Also, the tank stuff blew my mind. I'm way too excited for my own good, hehe.
