Re: Fatal message after munging
Not sure if you need to but have you added it to the lua? Most turrets need a section in the lua to call them up. I'm not sure if it would cause a crash though..

Re: Fatal message after munging
If you put a turret in ZE without loading it in the LUA, you'd get a Severity: 3 message saying that it couldn't find the turret's ODF, and the turret won't appear, but there won't be any CTD.

Re: Fatal message after munging
Oh, then it's wrong/is a bad idea. For the record, there are some cases when selecting everything will actually damage your map, but it is unlikely you will ever see them. Mostly just selecting what you need greatly reduces munge times, keeps things uncluttered, keeps your map smaller, and prevents useless munge logs from being posted to Gametoast.StarkillerMarek wrote:...Yeah, Fierfek's tutorial says to check all...
So, for the record, selecting all would not help in any situation?
590 odfs does sound like a lot, but I haven't built a large map so I can't really saying anything useful about it.
Get your debug log (check the sticky FAQ if you don't know what that is) and post it. It should contain the info needed to find/fix your current issue.

It makes a slight difference. In Vista's case, the debug log will be found in:
C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData.
You can browse there quicker by going to your normal GameData folder and clicking the "Compatability Files" button on the top bar.

I couldn't find the debug
.
Couldn't I just take the World folder and transplant it into another map and just change the name? Wouldn't that work?
I also have no geonosis turrets.

No; but you could create a new map and load your world folder if you really wanted to, as per this tutorial:

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure. The tutorial always works for me, and it's simple, so I recommend you follow that.

Re: Fatal message after munging
If you can't read your debug log, you won't get very far in swbf2 modding. Transplanting one map into another to fix an issue is the worst way to solve it.agentfallenangel wrote:I couldn't find the debug....

Re: Fatal message after munging
You are running BF2_modtools.exe or BF2_modtools_noDVD.exe to generate the debug log correct?

For the third time, I ask if your debug log is hiding away in:
C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData

Re: Fatal message after munging
Is it in your swbf2 directory gamedata folder?
