Log_gate.odf (The logs have no effect on units) [Solved]

Post by Sawyerdk9 »

Ok I have never seen these used in a map before. Not saying they haven't been but it's probably not that popular. Well I put them in a map in BF1 and they worked fine. They would be triggered, roll down a slope and kill anything they hit and bounce around a stuff. I just it in a map I'm working on for BF2 and it works fine also. The only difference is that it has no effect on actual units. It destroys tanks but will roll right through soldiers. I can't find anything in the odf that would signify anything that would help me make the logs hurt units.

The only thing that I could think of would be the class label "trap" and I couldn't find anything through a search of the forums to help.

Anyone have any suggestions?

The odf can be found in the endor assets btw.

Thanks

is it the one which hits together and destroys everything? Because I haven't seen log_gate used in a SWBF2 map, EVER.

nope not those ones. it's actually some logs that you place and when the trigger is close enough (default trigger was IMP) the logs will start rolling. They're basically logs that roll down slopes. They've always been in the modtools though

You can see the logs in action in the SWBFI trailers and demo for the consoles (Xbox is one of them). Search for the videos on Youtube or something.

Add this line to each Chunk section in the log_gate.odf

Code: Select all

ChunkKeepSoldierCollision = "1"
