Munging Problem

Post by pepper11193 »

According to the guide included with the mod tools when you munge a new level its name should be in the drop down box but when i do it the box is empty.

Drop down box?

Are you munging your level from the data_*** folder or the folder in the start menu? You have to munge it from your data_*** folder for it to munge.

Also When i create a new world it says that it has a runtime error and that visual munge has asked it to terminate in a unusual way and then it closes when I hit ok . I expect that this is the problem but i origanally assumed it had finished since the data_*** folder was there

I have the same problem. Whenever I open VisualMunge to create a new map, it just stops responding after I press 'Create New World', and I've tried 8 times.

I got my Mod Tools from FileFront.

Where did you install the ModTools? They have to be in C:, and that's it. Anywhere else causes problems. Did you take the time to read the README!? Here's what I have to say:
If you don't read the ReadMe, you suck.

Hmmm, then something might've gotten corrupted. You might have to reinstall the Mod Tools, unless someone else knows what's up.

Reinstalled mine like 7 times. Most from FileFront, once from a site called MegaGames. The only difference seems to be that MegaGames' version included 'Animations' in the template area.

Besides FilePlanet, MegaGames & FileFront where else can I get the Mod Tools?

Are you certain that it stops responding. The process does take a minute, especially on lower-end machines.

Yeah, because if I click off or on it, the toolbar dissapears, and then it says '(Not responding' after the name.

Also, it worked on this computer before, but you see, my brother accidentally memory wiped it six months ago, and I had forgotten about Bf2 at the time, and now it won't install - which makes zero sense!

Lot's of programs will tell you that they're not responding when they're doing something particularly difficult. It has to do with the Windows messaging system and how Windows splits processor time. Just try giving it a few moments.
