When you munge, you should only check Common. Unless you followed a tutorial when adding stuff to your map that said to also select something else.

When I try to play either era, it crashes halfway through loading :(

It might be because i have too many odf's and MSH's? I have 590 odfs or somethin...

Yeah, Fierfek's tutorial says to check all.

Anyway, there is nothing in your munge error log that says anything important.

Okay, in the BF2_modtools folder there is a file called BF2_modtools.exe. Copy this file to Battlefront 2\Gamedata and double click on. Then try to play your map. After it crashes, there will be a txt document called BF2log or something like that. Open it up and look inside, and post it here.

Marek, let me point out two things to you. The first is that you can only trust your debug log if you have no mungelog errors. The second is that despite what Fierfek's tutorial may say, there is no reason to check everything every time you munge.

@ OP: Try removing the Geonosian turret from your map, then munge again. That appears to be the only mungelog error you have that isn't shell- or sound-related.

Oh, and you may also want to do a Manual Clean. From your comments I gather that when you were first asked to do this you did a VM clean instead (Visual Munge clean). That is, you just selected everything and hit the clean button. Try a manual clean instead.

He does not have any true munge errors. The geonosian turret does not effect anything unless he has it in his map.

And it does not hurt anything to select all from my experience.

But what does it help to select all, aside from making your map munge slower and give you an excess of mungelog messages?

Just because it comes up with the munge log error does not mean he has it in his map.

He could of just copied all of the geonosian odf's and msh's.

Only if you were actually munging a new loadscreen, localizations, new sides, sounds, shell, etc. all at once. If you just want to make simple map or side changes, only select what's needed.

What I meant was, I normally do check only what I need, but before when I just started out I would hit select all. It didn't not seem to effect anything, really.

(replace *** with your 3 letter map ID)

Delete all files in the following folders:
data_***/_BUILD/SIDE/***/MUNGED/PC --do this for each side you've munged
data_***/_BUILD/WORLDS/***/MUNGED/PC

Delete any LVL and REQ files in the following folders
data_***/_BUILD/SIDE/***
data_***/_BUILD/WORLDS/***
data_***/_LVL_PC/SIDE
data_***/_LVL_PC/*** --Your world name

Finally delete your map from
/Star Wars Battlefront II/Gamedata/Addon

That's a manual clean. Try munging again after that.
uhh, I found the problem I think... I have no SIDE folder in the _BUILD folder, only a sides folder, but the sides folder doesn't have *** (FAM) in it

what do I do now? should I just ignore that and delete the other stuff?

No, the *** in this case means every side you munged. So for instance,
Go to _BUILD\Sides\*** (replace *** in this case for every side you munged)

oh and as for the geonosian turret, I have all the assets from geonosis in my ODF and MSH files... and I did the manual clean but it still crashes :(
