They sure are pretty pictures. The paint job on the x-wing and the browning effect near the nose cone and the edges of the wings really give it a hardened battle weary look.
The tie fighter explosion looks magninficant. The hot central blast with a gradual cooling around the edge and the smoke trail off is the kind of attention to detail I was hoping for.

And Gamershell on the 25th and teamxbox on the 21st and gamespot on the 20th (the list goes on).hooteni wrote:nice little Gt logo on bottom right. I did happen to notice these on gamespy on the 26th tho. Great pics. I like the last one, because it kind of gives a hint to what to expect (flyable millenium falcon, anyone?) out of the boarding stuff.
You'll notice these pictures at a number of other quality sites promoting SWBF II as they're are officially released pictures that are distributed to promotional magazines and websites. They aren't always added to the official site as they are a gift for those that support the game, Gametoast being one of them. The logo's a good addition too. All of the major sites have their own logo on the images they host for the benefit of the community.
I have the U.S. PC Gamer issue when the SWBF scoop was first announcedfruitymarshmallow wrote:Yah, and all of them were on the PC Gamer magazine (April Issue), but still.....

These pictures aren't in that article though...These pictures are part of the second wave of pictures that started a week ago.
Keep 'em coming Guru

When the opportunity comes to board an enemy ship, you can storm the inside and I'll keep them busy on the outside. That way we'll both be happy.
Here's a quote from pc.ign
http://pc.ign.com/articles/606/606988p1.html
While all Frigates and Corvettes cannot be boarded, the larger vessels will include working hangar bays, command rooms, armories and gunnery emplacements. It's important to realize that Pandemic cannot model an entire ship, but at least the on-foot gameplay is still being delivered here. Think of it as Battlefield 1942's Midway map gone Star Wars. It's mainly about flying and shooting, but there's definitely grunt work involved. In fact, ground pounding will have a direct impact on most levels.

It's a TIE Bomber. It uses the same bent wings found on the TIE Advanced but it has extra defensive plating making it look like it has a 'frame' around it. The TIE Advanced looks a lot flatter and lighter.Leviathan wrote:arramus, do you know what's the model of the TIE placed at the right border of the first picture, in your previous post ? (TIE Advanced or TIE Bomber ?)
