when a unit with a addon mesh jet-jumps/hovers all addon meshes dissappear! help?

This has been asked many times, there is no work around.

Unless you hex-edit the mesh to the model. You can find details on that in the FAQ thread.

Just out of curiosity, how do you hex edit an addon to a msh, I can't find anything in the FAQ, Is it the same way as cloth?

pretty much the same way it uses MODLs if that's what you are asking
