Weapon making tutorial? [Solved]
I've modeled an textured a weapon i want to get ingame, and I know you have to have firepoints and other little things i have no knowledge about, so I was looking for a tutorail related to making a custom weapon, and failed. So can anyone either a) show me this hiding or tutorial or b) explain here how to get a custom weapon ingame after modeling and texturing?

Re: Weapon making tutorial?
If you're exporting with meshex, give it three nulls, the dummyroot, an hp_active where the hand will grip it, so placed at the trigger or grip, and an hp_fire, where the bullets should be coming from. From then on just follow the meshex tut, then replace the weapon you want's geometry line in the .odf with the model's name. That should work fine.

Re: Weapon making tutorial?
i figured it was something like that, just didn't know what the nulls were. thanks
edit: i have two quick questions though. Does the actual size of the null matter at all? and Do you place the nulls made into the dummyroot or just leave them be?
edit(again): lol. munging took a shorter time today, and my weapon is now ingame and working nice(might have to reposition nulls though, the trooper's hands go through. Problem solved
