In my experience it seems that if the planning leads them to a turret then they will take it immediatly.

Hmm,
they only catch the turrets if the enemy is close, but i want that they shot also if the enemy far away but in range to hit them.
I this possible?

you might change the turret's odf in order to allow them to lock enemies from great distances.

Increase the optimal and maximum ranges in the weapon odfs. The optimal range is the distance at which an enemy needs to be before the AI starts firing at it. So say you want the AI to start firing the turret when an enemy is 50 meters away, set OptimalRange = "50" (I think it's measured in meters).
