Cloaked Battledroid
So I've been trying to get Anakin's Cloak to work with the default Battle Droid msh.
I've got it hexedited and it shows up in game.
The problem is the backpack. The cape gets stuck in between the neck and the backpack.
So I tried using AceMasterMind's backpack-less Droids but it seems the backpack is just invisible because the collision is still there even if you can't see it.
Does anyone have a droid body with no trace of the backpack and/or can I somehow get rid of the collision for it?
Edit:
It would seem you can't hexedit the cape onto AceMasterMind's droids, it just crashes when I get ingame.
Not sure why it worked before, but I think I confused the meshes and accidentally used the default one but with his skin.
Edit 2: Updated with pictures.

As you can see the cape have to bend over the backpack.

Re: Cloaked Battledroid
Have you tried the OOM Droid model?
There's one in the Assets Link Thread under the one of Mastermind

I can only find AceMasterMind's OOM-9 and a Commander Cody made by OOM-9.

Sry, it was Aces'. have you tried both OOM models, the one with the Antenna and the one without?Darth-Erik wrote:Which one do you mean?
Also I looked at the HEX file of AceMasterminds droid model and I haven#t found an object at the ribcage bone.
Could you send a screen how it looks ingame?

Re: Cloaked Battledroid
I've only tried the Red Security droid(the one without antenna) from AceMasterMind and it just crashes, can't get in-game, so I assumed it would with OOM(with antenna) too. But I can see if it works with that one tomorrow.The66Order66 wrote: Sry, it was Aces'. have you tried both OOM models, the one with the Antenna and the one without?

This is how it looked with the stock Battle droid, the ones with backpacks on:

All of the droids work, you can hex edit anything to anything, if your game crashes after you hex edited a msh then you made a mistake somewhere. It kinda looks to me like you didn't hex edit the cloth collision that goes with the cape.

Yeah, that was it, something is missing.AceMastermind wrote:All of the droids work, you can hex edit anything to anything, if your game crashes after you hex edited a msh then you made a mistake somewhere. It kinda looks to me like you didn't hex edit the cloth collision that goes with the cape.
I tried it on the Clone Trooper and it looked the same.
So as someone who's not very experienced with hexediting, I wouldn't know what piece is missing.
This is the snippet from rep_inf_ep3cloakedanakin.msh that I saved with the cloak code: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kwr3x3fmls7rrt9/Cloak?dl=0

I had the same issue when I was hex-editing anakin\dooku\vader's cape on a stormtrooper.
AQT did it for me and said this:

Where do I put the MODL chunks for the bones in my mesh?
Edit:
It would seem rep_inf_ep3cloakedanakin.msh don't have a c_torso, does this mean I don't actually need it or do I need to get it from another mesh?
Edit 2:
It doesn't have a c_pelvis either.

Re: Cloaked Battledroid
Actually, I do not know.
In this case he was talking about dooku's cape, but I'm assuming that it's pretty much the same thing since they give the same glitch.
I suggest you to send him a PM, he is the man. hehe

Re: Cloaked Battledroid
I tried moving the
c_torso
c_r_calf
c_l_calf
c_pelvis
MODL chunks to the msh, I took the c_r_calf and c_l_calf from rep_inf_ep3cloakedanakin.msh and c_torso and c_pelvis from cis_inf_countdooku since they were missing in the anakin one.
And the game just crashes.

Hehe, yeah.Darth-Erik wrote:Why must it be so difficult to hexedit?
I'm only good at hexedit clones' capes and nothing more. Sigh.

Re: Cloaked Battledroid
Alright, update time.
So I got the cape working correctly, I did as Delta-1035 said with the bones and such.
I added those bones to the cis_inf_bdroid.msh and then the cloak from rep_inf_ep3cloakedanakin.msh.
And this worked.

http://i.imgur.com/4ouxgZn.png
The thing I then noticed is that AceMasterMind's security_droid.msh seem to be using cis_inf_bdroid.msh as base even though it is it's own mesh.
http://i.imgur.com/PsB6QWH.png
http://i.imgur.com/85ZoDuF.png
Because now that one got the cloak too. ^
Maybe Ace can confirm or deny any of that? And that could be the reason for why I couldn't hexedit the security_droid.msh without crashes.
So now I can continue working from here.
