I played the demo again and I had the rain issue too. Hopefully that goes away or I will be slightly upset.
THEWULFMAN wrote:I liked the first one alot, mainly for the ligthtsaber combat, if the game still has good lightsaber combat i will get itr, as far as graphics go, i hope most of you agree, gameplay, then story, then controls, then sound, THEN texures, at least when it comes to priority. The game graphics do not mean alot to me, if the game is fun
Do not fear, the combat is beautiful. Heads fly (no, really, heads fly)

I might update my avatar to the force unleashed 2. I just wish there is one funny as my current one... :maulsaber:

Sort of related -- folks often complain about the price tag for Gold, but when broken down to a month-by-month cost it's very inexpensive. Five USD a month for the most superior online network seems fair to me. The only thing PSN has that it doesn is PlayStation Home, which I would never use. (that's not an attack towards PSN, either)
It's more for the fact I'd be paying for a service I just don't use, and probably won't use until a decent multiplayer game comes along.

seconded. but what did they improve/add graphicswise? water cant suck so many resources. i can play the horribly "optimized" tfu1 withourt any lag and my pc hardly fulfills the minimum requirements for tf2, weird :-/

Alright, so their Facebook page lied about the PC memory.
It actually says 24GB Required + 1GB Swap file on the box (just bought it, installing now).
Just like TFU:USE for PC.
Other than that, though, see the previous post for specs. The rest is correct.

The critics are totally hammering this game. Now I'm positive it's a rent, beat, and return.

Hey, whoa there. Gamespot gave it a healthy 4/5 stars, so lets just wait for the reviews to come in. To be frank, I thought the gameplay in the demo was great. I am going to buy it.

4 out of 5 stars from 1 reviewer is hardly a "healthy" rating when plenty of other, more specific and more reputable reviewers gave it a grade to give it only a 64 on metacritic. Of couse, I gave up on trusting internet review sites after MW2 got some of the highest aggregate ratings ever. That game singlehandedly shows how biased game reviewers are towards the more popular series. Plus TFU2 got a 6.5 from IGN, which is probably the only review site I ever agree with anymore. I'm not bashing this game, in fact I'm rather disappointed that the scores are so low, as the demo was rather fun.

Holy Cow. I am feeling a little disappointed. I am now starting to have second thoughts here. Maybe I will rent it or something.

Yeah! Gametrailers gave it 6.3, not too promising. They keep talking about the gameplay being repetitive without much of a challenge.

Gametrailers TFU II Review

Then again, you can't judge a game from reviews. So it's all relative.

Agreed with Marvel, I don't care for reviews. The trailers I've seen and the demo that I played all looked great. I'm still gonna get it but first I have to earn the money to have enough left over for other stuff.

Just because the trailers look cool doesn't automatically mean the games' good, but seeing how you played the demo and liked it, I suppose that this is a moot point.

Yup, pretty much.

In other news, TFU II got released today. Steam users can buy it (or for regular PC users) for only $40.

hmmm...I don't like to spend 60$ and get ripped off though. Maybe I will rent. I will have to review the GRAN TURISMO 5 however. ALL right. 6 million dollar budget can't go wrong.

Who here has TFU2 for the PC? Is it a direct 360 port like TFU1? Because if it is, I'm not sure I want it... :?

I know it's ported by the same company Aspyr who did the first game, so it probably won't be that good.

It's a port, but unlike TFU1's port, you can edit your settings. You can change things like graphics and controls to fit your playstyle and computer specs. Oh, and you can use your mouse to navigate menus.
