Modding sides. Hex edit? I need help!
Currently I want to replace some sides on a shipped level. I have been informed that i ned hex editor to get it to work. However i don't know anything sbout hex editing. I don't even know how to edit a file. Do i need a program or something? If someone could tell me how to replace a CIS trooper to a republic trooper in hex edit form i would be appriciative. Also i need a tutorial i guess. (I just want to alter the sides, that's all)

Well, first of all, Jango', if you want to Hexadecimal Edit the original game's mission.LeVeL file, you need a Hexadecimal Editor, for example XVI32. You can find the mission.*LVL file at [Hard Drive's Letter] / Program / LucasArts / Star Wars Battlefront II / GameData / data / _lvl_pc. You can find a guide here...

I recommend downloading PSPadEditor to help you code easily.

Jango', click on ''Search'' and type in a world, for example dag.lvl ( Dagobah ). Now, you should be able to see the sides in the right box...
