How to change the size of your terrain in ZE

Post by AceMastermind »

Launch ZeroEditor
Load your .wld file
Click on the "Terrain" button near the upper righthand corner
Then click on "Create new terrain"
Then enter the size of the terrain you want in the blanks
Then click on "Create New Terrain"

And there ya go.
I wouldn't go any larger than 512x512 though.

On the right side of ZE, there is a button that says "terrain". Click that and then click "Create New Terrain". THen enter your new map size (I'm not sure but I think the numbers have to be the same). :)

Yeah the textures are supposed to dissapear (this tool is used for erasing the textures too). You just need to find the appropriate TGA file and paint it back over :P

That's pretty cool. You could make several maps on different planets and have a "ship" beetween each planet. Then it would be like you entered a ship and it moved to a different planet. You would also have to make it so you don't see a different zone from your current one. If you had an objective mode you could do cool things with large maps.

Yah I was just keeping it simple. Dividing it into four sections by putting a deep 1 square wide valley and painting it black putting Hanger sheilds over it and putting flyers in the map. All I need now is a space textres an the moved cp's to show up, and the spawn reigons moved. I cant seem to find them in ze.
