Alright the DSotM Server is complete, and more ready then ever for players. The chosen mods are in place and working at there very best. So the only thing left to do now is play :maulsaber: ! DSotM is a great professional Server for the PC version of Star Wars Battlefront II, and it should have a great connection for anyone that plays in it. I have experience running great Star Wars Battlefront II Servers. I have 2 professional Servers on the PS2 version of the game. So I really hope that everyone enjoys this new server here it is again:

The Following Mods are installed on the {DSotM} Server. You'll need to have these mods installed on your copy of Star Wars Battlefront II for the PC in order to play on all of the maps:

Star Wars Battlefront Conversion Pack (2.0)

So what I'd really like to do now is get the Server into a good play through. Which means I need some people to spend sometime playing in the server for a while, and then give me feedback on how their playing experience went. So it's just been me and a few other random players that have played in the server for far, and this was before all of the maps were fixed. So ya the server has yet to be fully tested. Time to change that. Let's get to playing. May the Force be with you on the battlefront. Please don't glitch in the server.

If you have some time please go and check out the DSotM server play in it for a while and leave your feedback here on your playing experience. Good or bad the works please, but please be nice. If we run into any problems or bugs I'll do my best to fix them, and maybe you guys can help me fix them. Feedback is what I need. I want to be able to provide a great playing experience to anyone that plays in the server. Don't just go and play alone, go play with your friends or get a group together and play. It said i dont have the map that is playing (Jabbas Palace - CW) and i do becase its a stock map and mode.

acryptozoo had a similar problem like that but he was eventually able to get into the server. I don't know why the server has been doing that. We should figure out why. Keep trying to get in, have someone else try to get in and see if they have the same problem.

As I mentioned in another topic the Do Not Have Map Currently Being Played doesn't necessarily mean that exact map it can be any map in the list.

Which means the map that is currently being played may be Jabba's Palace but the person trying to get on may not have for whatever reason Bespin and therefore can't get on.
The same error comes up if the version of the map is different.

When I picked Mods to install on the Server. I was trying to think of Mods that the majority of battlefront II players would have installed on there games, the Star Wars Battlefront Conversion Pack,the Battlefront Extreme, both being among the most downloaded Mods on FileFront. But if a player doesn't have the Mandalorian Wars Project for example but they have the Conversion pack and Battlefront Extreme they wouldn't be able to get in even then right? They'd have to have the exact same Mods installed in order to get in. I want most players to be able to get into the server with out problem, and want to have the best most popular mods installed. Based on the Mods that are currently installed would mods players be able to get in server?

Update: I got it now, that as many people as I thought have the Mandalorian Wars Project this is why not a lot of players have been able to get into the server. I guess the Mandalorian Wars Project isn't as popular as I thought, but it's still a great mod and I really want to host it in my server but, if the majority of players don't have it installed then they won't be able to play in the server. So I think what I'll do is take off the Mandalorian Wars Project for a while this will allow more players to be able to get into the server, I'll add the Mod again at a later date. I think I'll encourage players to download the Mandalorian Wars Project in the Server Admin. It could increase the amount of players that have the Mandalorian Wars Project installed on there games. The majority of players to have the Conversion pack and the Battlefront Extreme on that I can be sure. Alright so as a note make sure you have the Mandalorian Wars Project installed on your copy of the game in the future because I will be adding it again at some point. So everyone try to get into the server again you should be successful this time, as well most other players that try to get in. Let's play now. :thumbs:

you say that you have a lot of experience running BF2 servers, but your xfire says you have logged a total of 82 hours, 30 of them this week. Have you owned this game more than a month?

I have a lot of experience running servers on the PS2 version of Star Wars Battlefront II. I've had the PS2 server since it came out. I've only had the PC version of the game for about a Month but still both versions for the servers run mostly the same. The majority of players should have no problem getting into the server now. Please try to get in and help test the server. Game on guys. :jango:

I tried to join and I have all those mods. Still I "dont have the playing map".
Oh wait - do I have the 2.2 patch?
I did but I was joining the wrong server. WOW...

Here is a complete like of all of the maps that will instantly crash in in my Server. If any of these maps are picked my server will fail. I know I have mentioned this before but I have just confirmed in my directories for my dedicated server when I run it, but try moving the whole sound directory out from GameData/DATA/_LVL_PC, just drag and drop it somewhere until such time you have determined that it isn't required.
As for the list of maps you say crash, I do agree some do but there are others on your list that I can and do run all the time.

I know you want to make the "Best Server" out there :yes: but maybe you are trying to do too much at once. Try just doing the conversion pack first and get that working or if nothing else you can find out what you can and cannot run, then add in extreme. Just a hint from someone who has had his share for frustrations.

I think your thinking of a non dedicated server like ran in the game. The server is a dedicated server in San Jose, CA. It's not the same. So I don't think moving the sound folder will do anything. Everytime one of the maps in the list crashed in the server. You'd see this message in the Server Admin: WARNING: Addon mission file is missing! The list of available maps may not be complete. C:\game\Master_DS\GameServers\TC71000781445528742755451\AddOn\AAA-v1.3patch\Data\_LVL_PC\mission.lvl I'm sure this message has a clue to why the maps crash. It's clear that we won't be able to get all the maps in this list running, but if we can get a few of them to work then it would be worth it. On another note:

There have been a few more players in the server, but there has yet to be a real play through. We need to get about 6 players in the server to really test it. So I'd like to propose some days and times that we come play together:

Actually I was talking about the dedicated server I run on a separate computer using the BlackOps interface. I am well aware of the difference.

How many maps are in your addon folder?
With all those mods, it may be your computer is overloaded with maps.
This happened ti me before and it puzzeled me for quite a while before I figured out what the problem was. Try moving all the non hosted maps into a different folder.

I suppose I could try moving some of the map files around. Although the only mods installed on the Server are the Star Wars Battlefront II Conversion Pack 2.2 and the Battlefront Extreme 2.2. I didn't think I've gone over the mission limit. I still think that the message in the server Admin may be a good clue to find out why the maps fail: WARNING: Addon mission file is missing! The lite version of the 1.3 patch is currently installed on the server, the one that came with the Star Wars Battlefront Conversion Pack Patch 2.2. I thought that would be enough. Do you think because the lite 1.3 patch is installed that could be the reason why some of these maps fail. So maybe if I install the full version of the 1.3 patch that could help?
