How to create models in XSI and other 3D applications and make them work in Battlefront 1 & 2. Post models, tips for application usage and share anything XSI, 3DMax, SketchUp, etc.
A few of you most likly know who I am and will recognise these fighters from past pictures well im close to relaesing them finaily, having fixed my problems with the mod tools. atm im working on the takeoff animations and texture on the e-wing.
I had Nasty zero editor errors wich halted my modding for the last 6 months or so... i have conquered them at last and will
be working on releasing all my stuff and yes I live lol
yeh i recognise this v-wing i did a glamour shot of it in bf1 for bf files i got picture of the day for it nice to see it coming for a come back in bf2 yay
L-5-R, you should change your settings so that camera view has textured decal set to it and not open GL cause your textures are gonna look ALOT lighter in game cause open GL makes everything dark. you should also open layers with 6 and uncheck render and use render region "Q" so that we can see what itll look like in game. textured decal renders the model as it would look in a game engine and takes away the specular lighting and shadowing.
Yes that is my aim to have it be as true tho the real v-wing as posible. I think i may be done with it soon and release it to the modding comunity for there maps. The main problum is time as i work graveyard..I hope to out in a fair chunk of time to finish it on my off days. In any event I will post pics as soon as i have somthing worth showing
Ok i have the landing gear done for the e-wing once i get the texutre looking presentable i will post a pic for your viewing enjoyment. On the v-wing i need some ideas for rear landing gear. I have one that retracts into the nose area, but what to do for the back?
Take a look and let me know what you think would work best, Thanks
well if you look at the diagram it has 2 that retract into the laser cannons and im guessing it just balances on the 2 just like the lambda shuttle does.
