BFront.log error [SOLVED]
I got this error after adding a vehicle to my map and I think I understand that the vehicle spawn should be in the control region, but problem is I want the vehicle over on a hill far away for the cp and I can't have the control region all the way over there?
Any help would be appreciated!

I don't think it really matters if you have the control region over the cp. As long as you have the capture region over it, you can pretty much put the control region anywhere you want. You can also enlarge the control region using the z key so it covers a wider area.

ok, but wouldn't that mean any goodguy who's cp was being captured could hold the cp from like half way across the map?

No, as long as the capture region is in the cp area, the control region only stops the vehicles from degrading. So once the cp is captured the vehicles will degrade and stop spawning. Is that what you mean?

Re: BFront.log error
What I meant was a control region is for controling a cp so that when a good guy and bad guy are in the control and capture regions the CP blinks and no one can capture?
or am I not understanding this

If the capture region is over the cp you will be able to capture it whether the control region is over it or not. As long as you don't have spawn nodes within the control region I don't think it would cause any problems.

Actually, it doesn't even matter if the opposing team is within the control region on the other side of the map, you will still be able to capture the cp. I have a similar set up in my map where the control region has been occupied by the opposition and I have still been able to capture the cp within the capture region.

Re: BFront.log error
It won't hurt the ability to capture a CP. What is does is make any vehicles in that region not degrade over time, whereas if a vehicle gets dumped in the middle of the battlefield it will eventually blow up on it's own so it can respawn. That's all control regions do.Jendo7 wrote:No, as long as the capture region is in the cp area, the control region only stops the vehicles from degrading.
