Is uber mode "xl"? and does it change the conquest mode?

I would say Uber is a "big conquest" while XL is a "big hunt".

Well does uber override conquest or not.

Secondly, a mode type is not defined by the name it shows up with in the Instant Action list. To elaborate on what Nihillo stated, the idea of Uber (which can be its own mode if you have the 1.3 patch) is just Conquest with more than 32 units on either team. XL is the same concept but rather than being Conquest it plays more like Assault (or Hunt even).

See a stock XL script from the assets to see how it is set up. In order to add it, you must edit the addme.lua and mission.req, including it, as well as make a .req file for the mode.

If you did look at that tutorial, then you would know the difference between Uber and XL.

To add Uber mode to your map:

1. Download and install the Unofficial Patch 1.3 Revision 117
2. Make a copy of your ***g_con.lua (g is just an example) and rename it to ***g_uber.lua
3. Open up this .lua file and follow the before mentioned tutorial and save the file afterwards
4. Make a .req file for this "mission" (same name as the .lua file, saved in the data_***\Common\mission folder)
5. Add this "mission's" name to the mission.req file (data_***\Common)
6. Edit the addme.lua (data_***\addme) to include this Uber mode

It doesn't say the difference

I'm not a modder and I know the difference. How? Common sense.

@RogueCrusier: Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know you can't infer things out for yourself. The tutorial is clearly about editing a Conquest script. You know how Conquest works, right? XL is a stock mode. Play it and figure out the difference for yourself. Yeesh.
