Update: Still working on the Invasion map. There will be noticeable changes, hopefully, when the next version comes out. And I hope it'd be worthy of bumping it up and out of beta stage when I do release the next version.
Added a couple new things in ZE. Changed the lighting a bit. Hopefully will be able to add in my new ambient war sounds to make the battle a little more chaotic sounding. Might add a few more units to make the map a little more action packed, or I'll just add in XL/Uber mode.
Moved the turrets that were near the landing crafts in the previous version. Felt like they were waaaaaaay too close. So now they're slightly behind the row of turrets at the first shingle, but they have a height advantage now, but the Republic gets a little bit more of a chance to get up there to take them out. It's still a challenge, though, but the battle should be a little more even. Added a couple more turrets in a new trench that I placed just in front of the sand ramp thingy that leads up to the bunkers.
Added new bunker. Just for cosmetics. It's on fire as though a Republic shell/bomb got lucky and hit the ammo or w/e inside and caused it to explode, or a trooper managed to get up there and use a flamethrower, but I want a new fire effect that spans the entire....what's it called.... 'slit'? Yeah, you know. The front where MGs are suppose to stick out from. Right now it's fine on the effects that I placed there, but a new fire effect would be nice. I might also need to make a damaged texture for that specific bunker, but right now it's fine. The map, still not perfect and I don't know if it'll meet expectations, but....yeah. I decreased the sudden drop from under one of the landing crafts a bit as well. That way you can quickly get back out from under the water.
Still need to add weapon localization.
Also when/if Icemember allows it, I will share the name of the planet that I randomly came up with. The back story will be revealed as maps come out (and I fix the rear-end of them).
Any who, I hope my polishing of this map is worth it. Been working on every single tiny little thing hoping that this or that value would help that and this object placed there should help with this or that. Yup. Later guys. Will get a screen or two later.
