Myrkr: Show of Force (Beta Version 0.25) Released!!
Yeah, go and get it. Tell me what you think. And, most importantly, enjoy.
I should have released a Beta version of all of my maps. This way, people can tell me what is needed, what problems exist, what isn't needed, what needs to be changed, and any comments or suggestions.
Go and play it!!

59 mb? Hope its worth the download
Okaj, played it now. Nice work, i like the new AT-TE Skin and the changed Weapon names, it gives the Map a more Star wars like look. A few recognized Bugs: The map crashs sometimes without a reason - You dont die instantly when falling into the water(i mean: into the DEAP water). But Nice work at all

No, the rest of the battle is even. I don't want to make them evenly challenged. They aren't. They never were. The Republic AT-TE would be destroyed within two to three shots from the AT-AT's main cannons. At least these can survive well against them!! And, if you are using a Liberator-class AT-TE, it is easy to take down one or two AT-AT's...usually!!

Quote a PM that I just sent:

Hey, thanks for sending in comments.
I will be adding more scenery, don't worry. I like the idea about adding rocks, I'll be doing that.
As for hills, I know that more are needed, LOL. They will be added.
As for trees, I think there are enough, LOL.
I have expanded the city to add for some more urban combat...it was kind of...teasing with only a bit of the city as playable.
I tried adding another CP to the city, and the game just crashed. I was baffled. So, I took the CP out and undid everything that I had done. It works now...
But, I had also removed "weights" in bot routes before I got it to work...those must have been the culprits. If I add another CP, it should work now.
Remember though, the more scenery and objects I add, the more lag and crashing will occur. I will try my best to hamper these things from happening. But, the price to pay for that is a shorter view distance (very short), a short object view distance, and a shorter near view distance, LOL.
What color should I make the distance fog color? It was that yucky looking pale green in the Beta Version 0.25. I tried making it gray...it what whitish-gray, and it looked like textures were missing.
I just thought about possibly adding dust or mist effects...
O.K., then, thanks for the comments and suggestions.
BTW- Vehicles aren't hard for me anymore. I really enjoy making them.
Thanks!!

O.K., first things first, the other forum setup yesterday (not the transparent one) was the best. I liked the website's look of SWBF too. It rocked. I don't like it now, it's back to its original form, boring...
Nonetheless, I am posting about an update. Here we go:
Those are all of the updates that I can think of. I just need to do what I said above, add the Prototype IAAT, fix some bot routes that cause AT-AT's to walk into trees, and change the names of every soldier.
So, all of you need to be ready for Myrkr: Show of Force (Beta Version 0.75). Version 0.5 has been tested by myself. Then, Version 1.0 will be released after any problems are corrected, the movie is added, the radar image is added, and any other suggestions and comments are taken into consideration.

Nonetheless, I am posting about an update. Here we go:
- - Hills have been added. They offer for some extraordinary combat.
- The city has been expanded. I couldn't place another base without the game crashing due to unknown reasons. But, urban combat is a success. It's fun!! I just need to add hintnodes so the AI uses the explosive barrels and building corners to hide behind. The AI will frequently travel through the city now. It's kinda scary if your faction hold the city and tons of enemy troops creep around the corner and annex the city. I also might add stairs to the sides of some builidngs. This way, people can climb onto them and snipe. I might also add turrets to those roofs if I do such a thing.
- TONS of foliage has been removed. The game does not lag for me anymore, and it crashed only once after the mass removal of foliage. I added some line in a file about walkers that should stop the crashing.
- Every vehicle now has a dangerous explosion. This means that if a vehicle explodes near you, you will be injured at least. This can be quite frightening when an AT-AT or a Liberator-class AT-TE explodes. You will want to run away!!
- The AT-AT now has complete sounds as well. I had to change the music for this to happen. I have no clue as to why it wasn't working.
- The distance fog has been moved even closer, and this time it is a medium-white-gray. It looks good near the lake, but not so great in the distance. It isn't a big deal, it helps the game run more smoothly.
- Six rocks have also been added. You probably will not see them unless you are trying to (they are not small either). One set of three is to the right of the bridge on the Imperial side of it (from an Imperial's view).
The other set is near the other crashed AT-AT that is on the far side of the lake, away from the battle.
- I also changed the names of every soldier...they will be changed again.
