Recently downloaded duck's addon backpacks. Anyway, they appear to work fine, until this: added a jetpack to the ep3 scout trooper (guys from felucia). As you can see in pic 1, it appears to work fine: However, whenever you try to jet, this happens: No jetpack. Also, whenever AIs jet their packs are still visible.

So, anyone got any ideas on how to fix this???

Currently, the only why to fix this is to attach the addon model to the player model via XSI. I think however, Mav might had found a different solution to this problem, so ask him.

Yeah, it's not possible to have an addon msh and also have a jetpack. It has to be rigged to the model itself in XSI. I had that trouble with the Republic Marine Jet Trooper we made for the Convo Pack. However if you ask nicely someone might do it for you. Some of these guys can re-rig a model in a matter of a few hours.

Sort've. There is a workaround:

I made the jetpack effect have the addon incorporated with it, so that when the actual addon disappears, the effect still has the "addon."

I have the same problem, but I don't have the assets for the unit(repmarine jettrooper). Is there any way I can fix this?

There is a slight blink- I looked very carefully and the effect starts after the jet moving upwards begins. While I'm not sure, since I'm not an .fx person, but shouldn't there be a way to make the effect happen faster?

That's more a video artifact than an actual product of the .fx. Yes, there's an unavoidable blip when the effect turns on (but much less noticeable than the one in the video), but that's just that - unavoidable. The effect comes on at time 0.

This is why it's just a workaround, not a real fix.

I second this request. I'm working an a Jango with alternate jettpack, and I have the disappearing problem.

which alternate jetpack?
i allready reenveloped jango, to make his left pistol show up when jeting, so it wont be a problem for me to give him your alternative jetpack (if you want )

In the battle on Geonosis, he has a different jetpack. It's the same shape as the one on the ep2 jettrooper in BF2.
